InactiveRandy,
I quit my job two months ago. I couldn’t put up with the corporate world any longer. I can honestly say that the last 2 months have been fantastic. No more corporate politics, no more rush hour road rage, no more b.s.I’m a lot less stressed out now. I’ve been doing a lot of traveling, sleeping in late whenever i want to, visiting family, and living life on my terms. I feel thankful that I finally have this opportunity. I hope it lasts.
I hope the same for you. Congrats.

InactiveCongratulations Randy!
It’s a big step, and a courageous move, to leave the certainty of the corporate life for the uncertainty of this life…. but well worth it!

InactiveCongratulations Randy. This is something that I have been mulling over, whether to take the plunge or not, but am not brave enough to do so yet.

GuestI wish you all the best, it takes a lot of courage to do what you are doingexactly.
the way I see it; you’ve chosen to bet on yourself rather than on the fact that some corporation won’t fire or “lay you off” right before you start to become eligible for any kind of serious retirement benefits: or that the they won’t find some way to cheat you out of benefits you rightly earned. Happens all the time.
And if that happens, well I’d hate to have to learn a viable trade at the age of 71.
Where as this is something you can do all your life, though casinos may not always be in the picture.
I really don’t see a downside, other than you won’t have any free time at work to give me a call and chew the fat.
Good luck Randy.

InactiveI’ll never be to busy to chew the fat with you on the phone, Steve. LOL
