Inactivei’m kidding, but please mention it, i’d be interested to know how possible something like this would be.
It could work alongside a pre-approval system that was mentioned before.September 10, 2007 at 6:11 pm #748327Anonymous
InactiveI meet with them tomorrow – i’ll give you feedback either way asap
Cheers

InactiveHi all,
I know you are all waiting on the edge of your seats for an answer on this question.
We have been having talks internally and with our supplier regarding ways to help you affiliates as well as us the operator to prevent Affiliates free rolls to loosing value because of password theft.
There are options to bulk invite players to tournaments and exclude everyone else. We could for instance only allow players who are directly linked to a specific affiliate account to access specific tournaments, it will take some work but it will be worth it to solve this issue. That would solve an unauthorized sign up of XX number of players.
We have also put in some thought about stopping the registration 1 or 2 days in advance of the launch and together with the affiliate clear the players. We just have to make it clear that certain free rolls are just aimed at a specific group of players. A lot of extra work as I said before but well worth it.
If you have any other specific questions you can PM me here and we can go on from there with more specific details.

captnonono90MemberIts a great shame that you have kept us waiting for news of something that we have already tried and tested many times in many variations over time with many poker sites.
You earlier posts lead us to believe that you were so very very confident of being able to set up some sort of foolproof scheme whereby affiliates would have access to players we would all be interested in immediately being able to blacklist. Thism, i do believe, is what we were all interested in knowing. The other stuff – well we know it. We’ve worn the T shirt.
Oh well, good effort on your part for taking the time to discuss it with your guys. Maybe, just maybe, one day in the far far distant future, you will prove the “it will never happen” theory wrong.

captnonono90Member….. anyway,
for those that are trully interested, i have now started to build the “blacklist” site. Primarily it will contain names and details of password thieves and whores.
Over the past 6 months i have collected their names, the evidence and the details. I have good info on about 80 of these people and at least another 400 names of players that use the passwords when they are published.
It takes an age and a half to post the info i have about each one of these individuals – all in my valuable spare time of course – so as soon as i have posted the details of the main dozen or so prolific culprits I’ll give you the address. In the meantime, PM me or eMail me your contributions.
Many thanks

goldaMemberHey Capricorn, what site do you think they are getting the passwords from? You should start a link on keeping poker freerolls protected over at PAP and see what the other poker affiliates are doing. This could be really interesting…

Hi. Its not a case of what i think…. its a case of what i have seen. There are 5 sites that i regularly read and see everyone’s passwords freely given out to that site’s members. This is a regular almost daily occurance. One of the sites actually rewards its members for finding and publishing passwords. Amother site has done a deal with 4 well knowm webmasters/forums about publishing passwords. There’s going to be a few red faces when i have time to collate it all and write it all down. I just wish i had a few more secretaries lol
