InactiveWell the word is not going around. A billion dollar company do you really think they care if your number one? Instead they just turn around and set up 1000 sites in the case of 888.com its more like 500,000.
Affiliates could have greater power, but I don’t see it. Do you really think FA has honored 75% to 90% of players coming from affiliates? I highly doubt it. The power we do have is players will listen to us.
Just a little while back a site was scraped and the manager of FA was contacted. Apparently they closed down the scapers account. A month rolls by and I go check the site was still up and running. Then I took action I got the site removed. We could have the power but we don’t use it because we are all sleeping. Someone is making the money and I know its not me, not with $15.00.
I am thinking about removing all programs and offer just information.
Unless something is done its only going to get worse. greek39

Response to APCW
In response to APCW’s latest remarks, we would like to clear all confusion and offer you this diagram and explanation of our internal process flows, which also highlights the area we are resolving right now.
This diagram clearly and transparently illustrates the use of the various tags by Fortune Affiliates and Fortune Lounge.
The misunderstanding surrounding the use of these tags relates to the fact that APCW in their audit and subsequent comments uses ‘Fortune Affiliates’ and ‘Fortune’ interchangeably.
Please note that Fortune Affiliates does not mail players. Fortune Lounge (i.e. the casino group) captures the player information for obvious conversion and retention marketing purposes. If a player is not converting on a specific casino, cross-branding takes place. These are all straightforward business practices.
As mentioned before, Fortune Affiliates is in the process of resolving the anomaly we have in linking the MS tags of cross-branded players to the initial ad_ or ehr_ tags of the relevant Affiliate in the Fortune Affiliates database, thereby ensuring the Affiliate gets rewarded for bringing the player to Fortune Lounge.
We are sure this explanation answers APCW’s latest comments as well as any confusion that may still be out there. We look forward to setting things right with our Affiliates and thank APCW again for their valuable input.
As we mentioned in our first post we will be allocating the players to the affected affiliates, we will be sending an email to each and every affiliate explaining the impact to their account and we will be paying them any commissions due.
We need to reiterate once again that we value our affiliates and while we have had problems with our stats system, we have always made good on our word. We have already initiated the development of a new system, which is being built from scratch.
Again we welcome any of our affiliates to contact their Relationship Manager at any time with any concerns.

InactiveMost recently talked about on this forum would be Casino Rewards and Ultimate Bet, but there are several others that have been discussed in the past. What has changed; nothing that I can see? We still get the same old stale explanations that simply don’t add up.
Well, these are not good examples beause CR designed a completely transparent system asap and got it live in record time, and UB is frantically working on fixing a problem that affects affs and players alike and is hurting the heck out of UB itself every day it goes on.
As far as Fortune goes, is the “buddy” carrying Slick Street tags?
I would like to see the buddy sit in that diagram.
I would like to see Slick Street included in it too.
Are you using Slick Street and Fortune Lounge interchangeably?
This does look like a very major problem. When do you figure on having it fixed?
I have a number of questions I was hoping to ask in Amsterdam, but I guess I’ll be asking them here.

InactiveI changed to the new earning model and it’s been good so far. All I see is increase on revenue wise and Ryan & Renee has been working very hard to help affiliates to their fullest. If support team is good then the program can’t be that bad. Give & Take, the stats were recoding every time we tried the downloads, registration and esc. TO REPLY TO FORTUNE AFFILIATES:The misunderstanding surrounding the use of these tags relates to the fact that APCW in their audit and subsequent comments uses ‘Fortune Affiliates’ and ‘Fortune’ interchangeably.
We will concede that point.
Fortune Lounge (i.e. the casino group) captures the player information for obvious conversion and retention marketing purposes.
OK, so it’s Fortune Lounge that is deleting all affiliate information from players and placing MS tags on emails before sending them out?
If a player is not converting on a specific casino, cross-branding takes place.
Cross-branding takes place regardless of conversion….
If the player downloads and stops, they get cross-branded with MS tags…
If the player downloads and regiters, they get cross-branded with MS tags…
If the player downloads, registers, and deposits, they get cross-branded with MS tags…
If the player downloads and opens an account with the “buddie”, they get cross-branded with MS tags… AND get a brand new MS tag just for using the “buddie”.
Fortune Lounge has GREAT cross-branding… and affiliates wouldn’t mind these “business practices” if we got credit for the players. Fact is we do not, so it’s not quite so “straightforward”.
===============================================
It’s no secret that the APCW has been a supporter and defender of the Fortune Affiliates in the past. We hope that this entire stinking mess is a result of ignorance on their part and poor planning by the Fortune Lounge Group.
To us, however, it seems that this new affiliate tracking system was set-up to be less beneficial for affiliates, and we believe this may have been to encourage more affiliates to the CPA Model and away from Rev Share.
We realize these statements are speculative.
Please let us know when this entire issue is SOLVED. There is absolutely no point in our continued testing of a system we all admit is broken.March 24, 2006 at 6:32 pm #687007Anonymous

This is so true and not only with FA, I believe or should I say I know Referspot does this as well to the affiliates! I cannot even begin to tell you how many depositors due to this cross branding.
FA tag our players back to us and give us all our money that was taken away now!
