InactiveI’d love to sign up for your league, but basically, fantasy.premierleague.com isn’t working properly for me. I’ve played fantasy football on this site for 3 or 4 seasons, but now when I log in and click anything it keeps asking me to agree to the T&C. Bloody annoying.
Anyway, if I do get signed up before August 16th, I will kick your a***s.
My top tips : Bullard and Young in midfield. Mido as a third striker – looking fit and healthy for the first time in three years.

Bullard and Young you can’t argue with but Mido faces serious competition from Alves and Tuncay so may be rotated. Fat or thin, I can’t see him playing every week.

InactiveHow do you edit the team once you have created it – I whacked in some people I didn’t want for the sake of getting it done and don’t seem to be able to edit the team now….

PngigdgaMemberOkies
tryme1 – I just tried signing up again, and had no problem pressing on Agree on the t&c’s page. That seems most odd!
Alex – when you log in to your team, there is a tab on the left hand side (third one down) that says Transfers. Clickie, and you can change as much of your team as you like with no penalty before the season starts.

InactiveHere’s a few hints for the newbies that may help:
Try to pick players that play week-in week-out. Joe Cole may be a top player (when the winds not blowing hard) but will he get rotated?
Try to pick players from defence and midfield that get forward a bit.
Look for players that get “assists” as thats worth 3 points
Penalty takers and free kick specialists always bag a few goals each season
Bear in mind you only get 1 free transfer a week – after that it costs 4 points per transfer so you don’t want to make two many. Picking subs that play regularly means you can sub them in instead saving uncessary transfers.
Man of the Match gets points each week so “star” players in a team will bag extra points regularly.
Try to do transfers early in the week – its a gamble (Injury/illness etc), but player values increase as more people pick a player so you can build extra value by getting in first which is useful later on transfers.

PngigdgaMemberGood tips Simmo!
To add to that, look for players that are not playing very much, and are subsequently valued quite low, who have been transferred to other clubs where they are guaranteed a start.
The obvious example is Peter Crouch, who although an Enlgand International, was in a sqaud rotation system for Liverpool. He was cheap in the FF, and now has gone to Posrtsmouth, where he will team up with an England strike partner Jermain Defoe. He has already scored 4 times in pre season, and will be first choice striker for Portsmouth this year.
I’m not giving any more secrets away – this is serious business!
Remember the season starts in three weeks, so you need to sign up before then to get the best chance of winning!
