Yes, it is very much possible. The time frame where he will stop earning from these players depends when they stop spending.

I would imagin he has referred customes to these affiliate programs that pay on the life of the customer.

    Honestly ?
    It’s very very unlikely.

    (1) If you’re making that good an income why stop?
I’ve yet to meet the person that enjoys theri work but stops just when things are going well.

    (2) The retention rate seems out
1,500 players do not stay at the same place for very long. Think of your own play – where were you playing last year? Have you tried new poker rooms / casinos in the last 12 months.

If the affilaite is out of the game – then he’ll probably be losing players at a rate of as much as 10% per month.

Within a year I’d expect the active base to be only about 1/3 of the start base.

Here is the likely bleed rate – if 10% of players switch each month :
    – 100% – 90 – 81 – 73 – 65 – 60% (after six months)
    – 53% – 47 – 43 – 39 – 35 – 31 (after a year)

    (3) The payoff per player seems high
1,500 into 100,000 per month might not seem a lot. but it is $66 per player.
And that’s the affiliate share – before all the usual reductions and charges etc.

It means that the players must keep dropping $200 every month.

It’s possible of course – but if players are losing $200 each month at a casino / poker room (to give the affiliate his $66 share) – then they’re surely looking for a luckier place to play.

In summary – I think that this is affiliate legend, rumour, inflated story.

When considering the tall tales I usually look for the motivation.
    – why would the affilaite stop at 1500 players? Unusual
    – why would the players not consider moving? Unusual

Maybe – just maybe – he made $100,000 in his first month after he quit. But that number will drop fast as players move.

I think that it’s a myth – perhaps based in part on a person who made a few retainers after quitting – but the numbers have been inflated beyond realistic values with the continual retelling of the story.

Watch out this time next year he’ll be making $200,000 a month – at least that’s what the forums will claim …

This is all relative again, though.

I won’t venture to talk about sportsbetting or poker players, but casino players can easily drop this regularly for years.

They will move between different softwares and casinos though.

Now if you have a “click and out” site that caters to the “as many clicks as fast as possible” philosophy, likely the one casino is the only one this player brings you money from.

If you have a “bookmark this” type site, The player may be playing 5 casinos and all of them under you.

I would in my opinion say the story is not true. If I had that many monthly players, I wouldn’t quit the business. I would reinvest some of the money back into the biz to keep attracting new players.

I went back and checked all my paperwork as I print everything out every month. I’ve received over the last 7 years payments from 143 different sites as their aff. Of course back then each site pretty much had their own aff program.

Now this is the shocker – I’ve had 67,210 new players of which over 40k never placed a deposit and from what I can tell only 17 are still playing today. I’ve made a little over 400k in the 7 years and my biggest month was 32k. Since 2003, I’ve averaged total 10k a month until the end of 05. Right now, I’m averaging a fraction of that but it keeps picking up and I’m optimistic again.

That is the most detailed and useful info i’ve ever seen anyone share here (in regards to revenue :) )thnx :)

I heard a story of a guy, who managed to get 1500 players and have been no longer sending traffic to online casinos for over a year, but he still manage to get 100 000$ a month (from 1500 old players). Do You think it’s true ?

That means he’d have to get $250K in deposits assuming a 40% comission and not taking into account the actual affiliate program terms.

Each of the 1500 player would have to deposit just under $167.00 once every month to earn a $100,000, if my math is correct.
