You think only 10K from 1500 players ?
Its more than possible he is still earning a very healthy monthly revenue trust me, ive been in this industry for over 4 years. Just because he isn’t sending traffic dosn’t mean he no longer earns anything.
This can very much depend on which program and what quality players.
Programs like Referback, where players remain yours definitely for life, even if another aff sends them to another Belle Rock property, are suited for such long term thinking. Not all programs protect your players that way.
I would in my opinion say the story is not true. If I had that many monthly players, I wouldn’t quit the business. I would reinvest some of the money back into the biz to keep attracting new players.
I went back and checked all my paperwork as I print everything out every month. I’ve received over the last 7 years payments from 143 different sites as their aff. Of course back then each site pretty much had their own aff program.
Now this is the shocker – I’ve had 67,210 new players of which over 40k never placed a deposit and from what I can tell only 17 are still playing today. I’ve made a little over 400k in the 7 years and my biggest month was 32k. Since 2003, I’ve averaged total 10k a month until the end of 05. Right now, I’m averaging a fraction of that but it keeps picking up and I’m optimistic again.

So from looking at the above stats you have had 27,210 depositors over 7 years? i think if you sent anything close to that to a decent program these days you could retire for life and be minted and start up a few of your own online casinos. I’m quite shocked that you have sent them many new depositors and only earned 400k in 7 years, i would of expected way way 50x that, did you send a large percentage of them players before the online gambling boom kicked in? say going back 3-4 years.
I wish I knew then what I know now. There were 6 others that I knew of that started when I did but their knowledge far exceeded mine and although we were top affiliates at the time they made alot more than I did. I had a free web site when I started and their name had to be a part of my domain which made the url very long.
I also know I only have 2 whales left out of the 14 I used to have. I also may have had my rep ruined by alot of depositors when I promoted Quicksilver, who thankfully isn’t around anymore. They owed me over 14k that I never saw and alot of winners never got their winnings. There were so many crooked sites in 00 and 01.
Sites would also change their terms as they saw fit. I remember shark casino always had over 100 new depositors every month and I never made a dime until one month they all lost and again I never saw any money as they changed their terms again. The majority of my players would make a one time minimum deposit and never do it again.
Prestige casino used to convert extremely well – went to CPays and haven’t made a dime since.
It’s a funny business – the programs I made money on last year – this year nothing. The programs I didn’t used to make money with, is what’s keeping me going this year. I made a good commission from august from casino rewards and after only 3 days of september I almost have last months beat. The good thing is knowing it can’t go down if someone wins big.It’s a funny yet frustrating business.
Hi Cyclone – most depositors I was referring to was from 99 to 02 and part of 03, but I made more money in 04 and 5 with less depositors than I did the previous 4 years combined.

If an affiliate has 1500 averagely good players who drop an average of $2000 in their life time, he has 3 mil in gross and if he is on a 50% rev share, he makes 1.5 mil over a period of 2-3 years.
27,210 depositors over 7 years thats like 4000 a year that like 12 a day and that is WOW but to get that you need like 100 sign ups a day and like a 1000 clicks a day.

I can believe that with certain affiliate programs this would definately be possible. But in this industry alot of people can exadurate how much they make so I would not necessarily believe it 100%

There would need to be some serious überwhales in there to drag the average player life time value up to $2000 (considering we are talking about a very large sample).
Yes, it is very much possible. The time frame where he will stop earning from these players depends when they stop spending.
I would imagin he has referred customes to these affiliate programs that pay on the life of the customer.
