InactiveGood news indeed. More programs should follow Doyle’s lead!

InactiveThe treatment that Affiliates got when Doyle’s decided to LEAVE the US market was less than desirable…. and Affiliates are who will make or break them coming back…. I sure am not jumping back on that wagon!

Now is not the time to jump back on the bandwagon
Doyles deliberately avoided telling their affiliates that they were striking an affiliate deal with FT for all their American players (who didn’t have an account at FT already) until it was too late and they had sent out emails with links built in. They sold all their affiliates down the river and have now come back for helpQuote:we are committed to work closely with ALL our affiliatesYou’ve got to be kidding?
Surely it’s a wind-up? A gag? A very late April Fools? The fact that they are saying that players will be tracked to original affiliates is not terrific or jolly decent of them – it’s irrelevant because that should be the case anyhow…that is what they promised the affiliates when we committed to driving traffic to them…

RTR
It’s funny that this comes from RTR, a website which instructs players to open multi accounts and steals players from other affiliates.
For instance the Cryptologic poker rooms. They also promise life time revenue share. I wonder how many players in your db was first timers when they opened a Cryptologic account through RTR. :nono:

APCashMemberBenjamin –
It was probably the safest bet in the world that you would be the first to reply and turn this or any thread in to a rakeback debate as you always do.
You obviously don’t sleep easy at night
If you want to discuss the merits of rakeback and your rather sad accusations then please email me
I am here to discuss Doyles –
Get off your soap box and stick to the thread for once…Seriously, if only for your own health

InactiveI know you don’t want to discuss this in public and I also know why.
I think my comment was very relevant, because here we have a rake back affiliate crying about players should be tracked to original affiliates. I just had to comment on that! Can’t you see it’s funny? :wink-wink
Sad accusations?
I use a lot of time on different poker forums and if it’s allowed to discuss rake back, a common question is: Can I get rake back at xxx poker, if I already have an account?
The other players always have the same answer – except a few poker rooms – yes you can no problem. Just Google: xxx rake back.
I have done this to find out what they where talking about. I found RTR and on RTR I found this:
If you already have an existing account with xxx Poker, you may still be able to sign up with us for rake back. Please contact us here for more details.
It’s obvious why you’re “hiding” these details and players have to e-mail you. Everyone with an IQ over 10 should be able to figure out what’s going on.
XXX POKER SIGN UP INSTRUCTIONS
1. Uninstall the software
Make sure you do not already have the software downloaded – if you do, you need to uninstall it:
(Start > Programs > XXX Poker > Uninstall XXX Poker)
2. Clear any previous tracking cookies from your computer”I know you’re not the only one doing this, but I really just had to comment. If you used blackhat techniques or send spam mails people would also comment on that.
FYI: I have made 117 post on CAP and they are not all about rake back! And I don’t have any problems sleeping at night!

Inactivehaha, let’s keep this post of track folks :hattip:
what i’m wondering about is whether other sites will follow and begin accepting US players again.
Doyle Brunson definitely wouldn’t want to go to jail so they had to keep this in mind when deciding to allow US players again.
As it seems at the moment, the only operators who got prosecuted are sportsbooks. Casinos and poker rooms seem to be doing just fine…

vladcizsolMemberThis is excellent News! Doyle did discuss this at CAP Euro Barcelona and I told him it was the right thing to do.
You can expect to see other follow suit shortly :hattip:

goldaMemberTouching on a few things before I get back to the meat of this.
Karim (raketherake) – I can only say good things about this guy. I have known him for a few years now and I can honestly say that he is good to his players and has some killer support as well. As far as rakeback goes it’s been a tool to gauge competition since it’s inception. There has always been a little resentment from the casino world when it comes to rakeback but here is the scoop. attracting new poker players is difficult, and if a poker room allows you to re-acquire players then you’re going to do it. Honestly, I know it’s a massive kick in the ass when an affiliate takes a player from you, but rooms have done a lot to prevent this from happening further and I know RTR wasn’t the first site to try this strategy.
Casinolisten.com – A Mercedes with your URL plastered all over the side? If this alone isn’t awesome then I don’t know what is. His site is supreme and he definitely has a major competitive edge within his respective markets. I still think he should offer Interpoker rakeback as well

Doyles Room returning to the US market is a great thing for us all. If you choose not to promote them then that’s totally your call to make. However, having them make a move to re-enter is a great step in the right direction. I can see in no ways in which they, or any other pure poker room, violates the Wire Act.

Inactivegreg,
i would love to disagree with you all over the 360 degree way…but only the last paragraph is what i agree with…and as far as i am concerned, this post is about the last paragraph. not about letting CAP members lick their wounds in unison.
ps.

InactiveMy feeling is why support a program that would not back it’s US players or affilates. As far as I’m concerned, any program that left US affilates or US players high and try and go you now where!

goldaMemberI totally respect the concerns you guys had with the poker room and the way it handled the exit strategy from the States. Obviously they have some trust to earn back but I can say this. Meeting with George and Doyle himself in Barcelona this month I sincerely feel like they do care and will work to mend some bridges and make things right.
Whether you work with DRPN or not, this sets a great precedent for other rooms to come back and see that the waters aren’t really that scary.
