IMO this is all an elaborate ploy to bring attention to gambling, take the hardest possible line, then suddenly at the last minute show “what wonderful people they are” and decide to regulate it.
As Nick said…it’s all about money and they ain’t gonna flush several billion $$$ down the toilet and drive it underground where it will create twice as many social problems and turn more innocent Americans into criminals.
Ain’t gonna happen IMO. They are $ motivated, not values motivated. It’s all about the mid-term vote right now.

They did it in the past. Alcohol was banned for years.
Once it was alcohol, then cigarette, now online gambling, next: pork meat or blue jeans?I’ve been thinking about the shareholders of the company.
Clearly the shareholders are not legally accountable for any so called wrong doing by the company or its officers.
What would this mean for example to a US citizen who incorporated in the UK, highered an exec living in the UK to handle operations, and the company accepts gambling ads which some US citizens might click on?
