InactiveCool – i’ll be there.
Has anyone received confirmation yet as to whether the changes at VPL and F.A are definately being applied *retrospectively* as this will be a major issue in tonights chat.
I am happy to find out if no-one else has yet. ??
Although of less consequence to the other program changes possibly, the Roxy change (20% on all commissions if no new players referred in that month) is retrospectve on previoulsy referred players.
We ought to know these things ahead of the chat as the two things that really need to be discussed IMHO are quite different: if NOT retrospective, then the discussion is centered more around who/what/how best to promote, whereas if they ARE retrospective, the discussion could potentially introduce additional moral/trust issues.
I also hope people taking part will keep the discussion constructive so we can avoid going through constant accusational discussions. I think that we can largely assume that most affiliates who will attend are not in favour of the changes, so i think we ought to focus largely on solutions/action/moving forward. It would be great if the reps at VPL, Roxy and FA were there to put over their side. If they do turn up, i hope people respect the fact too.
Thoughts?
Simmo!

Inactive“I think that we can largely assume that most affiliates who will attend are not in favour of the changes”
You never know Simmo there may be some who think its a good idea ( mmm who knows!)
I think you should contact the relevant affiliate managers so they can attend ( or at least make up an excuse why thiey cannot attend this very important session)
As long as they feel comfortable and not think its a witch hunt I would imagine many will attend – Moreso the casinos who ARE NOT making these changes ( so they can sit and smile and extoll the virtues of us moving to their programs where they are not imposing these alledged new terms)

InactiveI have contacted VPL and F.A to ask about retroactive application of the new T&C’s. Hope to have clarification by the time Chat starts.
EDIT: i have had clarification from both groups that the changes DO apply retroactively.
Hopefully people will have noted Garth @ Roxy’s post earlier today regarding a revision to the new Roxy terms.
Unfortunately Antoinette, Affiliate Program manager at VPL is off til Monday so i was unable to ask if she will be attending. Looks unlikely.
Cheers

InactiveUnfortunately I wasn’t able to attend today’s chat. :unhappy:
Can someone please write a summary of what was discussed? Perhaps there is a way to post a transcript? Thanks in advance.

Cheers

InactiveI have a copy as a Microsoft Word document of the chat that I copy and pasted. I don’t know the implications of distributing it, but if anyone wants it and the Professor OK’s it I can email a copy.

InactiveI am also interested in the transcript.

InactiveI spoke with Lou this morning. His internet access is limited because of some rain they’re getting in his part of the country. I’m sure he’ll respond about the results of the chat session as soon as he’s able to get back online.

One speaks with the idea that one knows who is listening. Especially towards the end of the chat I recall making some remarks that were meant to be private among the people there.
I think distributing transcripts of chats is going to limit the frankness of input in future.
I am going to speak differently among a known group of people versus the general public.

InactiveThat is a valid concern.
But I do think something should be posted that summarizes what was discussed. If not an exact transcript, then a fairly accurate summary — “meeting minutes,” if you will. It would be good to know who attended, what specific topics were discussed, etc.
Hopefully the rain lets up in Florida so the Professor can get back online! 😎
