I understand your point. Most if not all of the affiliate managers who are certified by CAP are good affiliate managers and take care of their affiliates. The point is that by being certified programs, they should take part in this community.
I’m not going to hold it against any of the affiliate managers if they don’t participate here, but I would recommend to the affiliate managers who want to see more action from the affiliates who are involved in the community here post often and post intelligently.

vladcizsolMemberI think that improved communication with affiliates is a major benefit for the both the programs and us as affiliates. It’s a key component of the community aspect of CAP.
I do believe when open and regular communication is maintained we have a greater understanding of the products and this leads to increased profits for all.
That being said I don’t think its possible/reasonable to demand a minimum level of participation by the affiliate managers. As a moderator and host I can try to stimulate more conversations, but I dont want the conversations to be artifical or engineered. I am going to work on this in the coming weeks and hopefully this will help.
I really like some of the ideas brought forward today and will encourage all our certified partners to post:
*Weekly and special promotions the casinos are running.
* The latest newsletters and communiques
* The best performing banners for the month
* Any tips or suggestions they have for affiliatesI will have the CAP account rep for each casino contact them this week and ask that they do this as an added value to their affiliates and to make information readily available for the community.
Any other suggestions or comments you guys have would be appreciated.

GuestPosting here will actually SAVE the affiliate managers a lot of time answering individual emails from CAP members.
Many times I have not written an email because my questions were answered here.
That being said, I’ll repeat what Randy said – “I’m not going to hold it against any of the affiliate managers if they don’t participate here, but I would recommend to the affiliate managers who want to see more action from the affiliates who are involved in the community here post often and post intelligently.”
It’s just common sense, really. I wouldn’t have looked twice at Winward if not for Marinersfan being a friendly member of this community. Same goes for a couple others – Jeff and his free coffee comes to mind (Wager Profits), too.
Aff managers: I would love to see you all post anything new – promotions, games, just whatever here. Just copy and paste the emails y’all send out to affiliates you already have – you may catch some new ones who are intrigued by your bonuses/ games/ contests/ tournaments.
No, they shouldn’t be required to post. Either they want to benefit from CAP or not…..

GuestDarn it Fergie, you took the words out of my mouth. so to speak.
I totally agree and think that it is foolish for an aff manager to NOT find time to make themselves available in here.
Furthermore, I know that a couple of programs have gained listing on my sites solely because of the relationship I (eventually) built with their aff managers right here.
that said however, I don’t need any program to do anything for me except be there to answer my questions if they should arise.
And while I think it is incredibly smarter to address concerns in a public forum so as to maybe avoid answering the same questions over and over, it certainly is not a requirement in my eyes.
as long as I get attention, I could care less whether its privately or public.
so slap me in the face all you want, but have a nice bottom line at the end of the month if you want to keep me happy and just as quiet

Hmmmm – lets sum that up.
– Major Benefit to all parties …
– A Key Component of this community …
– Greater understanding …
– Increased profits for all parties …For those reasons ALONE – its more than reasonable to expect and demand communication in exchange for the advertising and the “certified” label they are receiving.
Why do these programs have forums and a certified label if they can not and/or are not willing to actively communicate with their affiliates?

InactiveAs you may have noticed we have started to post our weekly player promotions with the banners in our forum, should we only be posting them in our forms as I do not see alot of reads when items are posted in our specific forums.
Thoughts?
