InactiveI don’t know that a required number of posts is an appropriate solution.
But I’m certain that most of the webmasters on this board are going to be a lot more interested in trying a program if the program manager uses CAP as it’s bully pulpit. I think each affiliate manager should at the very least list their unique selling propositions in their forum. That would benefit everyone.
Perhaps the Professor could include a request of that sort when he approves someone as a certified member here?
Arkyt raises valid points here.

InactiveI kind of agree – but it may be difficult to find stuff to post about on an ongoing basis for some. Those who conduct a lot of contests etc post frequently because of that. Then there are those who only post occasionally but always answer posts promptly which is nice.
Then there are those who neither post nor answer a lot.
But then, most are not getting any questions either.
Personally I like seeing them join into general conversations – few do that – and I am told few have the time to keep up with this.
A general description of the program as a base post sounds good to me.

Inactivedo not post very often and in numerous instances have never posted at all.
Actually, to never have posted at all is at the very least a slap in the face and is akin to a welcome in a new town and declining a handshake from the locals.
No one here is going to bite you (too hard). I am sure the aff managers who participate here on a regular basis could attest to the positives of interaction on this board.

Quote:dominique wrote: … and I am told few have the time to keep up with this.IMHO – Thats not a valid reason – thats a sore excuse. How much time does it take to – at the very least keep up to date once a week, once a month? Furthermore, what would be the ROI of that minuscule amount of time? That my friends is my point

vladcizsolMemberThanks for bringing this up Arkyt and I wholeheartedly agree. This is an excellent point. Let me give this some thought and post a follow up later today.

InactiveI appreciate and agree with the sentiment of the post by arkyt. Personally, I am sure most Affiliate Managers will like this idea.
However, the preoragative of making this happen lies with the Forum Moderators.
Members must also consider that active affiliate managers run the risk of becoming walking billboards for their respective programs.
Looking forward to more views.

InactiveThe bottom line is the program managers are just that…managers of the program. No time? Hey, no one has any time, except when it comes to HOLIDAYS!
Being self employed we can give ourselves any title we want, and vary that from day to day (chief asses, dumb asses, stupid asses…etc.) BUT…we are one thing, the managers of our business.
This happens to be a most impersonal business to be in and those affiliate managers who have afforded the time to make contact and help forge ongoing relationships are to be congratulated.

InactiveWhile we’re on the subject, I’d like to point out a couple of affiliate managers who are active on the board–folks like Hannah from Slotland, Dean at Adriches, and John at Gambling Wage. Sometimes we start putting out fires and forget to water our flowers.

Perfect reason for aff managers to actively participate.

InactiveOne thing I’d like to see from affiliate managers of certified programs is them posting more of the player incentives on offer at their casinos. Not the regular $200 first deposit bonus stuff, but the promotions that last maybe a week or so – y’know : ‘$150 extra slots bonus (expires July 14th)’ , that kind of thing. It’s very hard to keep track of all the player promotions going on but most of us log in here every day. If this stuff was posted regularly in the certified programs section, these promotions would be far more effective.

InactiveI’m going to go against the tide here.
A certified program is one that is honest and reliable WRT to games, payouts etc…
Does not posting on this board somehow stop them from sending out your paychecks at the end of month?
Does not posting on this board force them to rig the games or not credit you with referals?
Does not posting on this board in ANY way affect them so they do not fit the criteria of being a certified CAP program?
The answer to all three questions: NO!
How many of you have written to your affiliate manager(s) and told them about these boards and how much it would benefit both affiliate program and affiliate with the simple task of posting a few messages every now and then?
Also, just because they’re not posting, does that mean they’re not looking over the conversations? You never know. Maybe some of the programs will step in when needed, but prefer not to waste time answering questions that are already answered by other members.
