I think it’s fair to say that I’ve never seen cap certification as anything other than an advertising fee.
Actually for me, the true certification is in the “affiliate tesimonials”. By being listed in CAP affiliates get to post their good (and bad) experiences with a program.

InactiveFor the past 5-6 years, I never sign up to an affiliate program without first checking this forum AND most important… what other members are saying about the program.
So, certification, fee, conflict of interests or whatever you want to call, for me it is an important tool to know what YOU (webmasters just like me) are saying about the casino/affiliate program.
On top of that, when any program tries to pray on my payments or my players, I certainly use this forum as safe port to complain and 100% of the time until this day, the program fixed whatever was the issue.
Whatever are the conflicts of interests that might or might not be happening here, to hell with them… I don’t care. It is not Lou or Warren or you that post my complains, I do it for free, with my own words and the casino has to deal with it.
Things are not easy, people have to pay their bills… what is the darn problem?
You have the forms for free, you can complain for free. Casinos have to pay, if the forms are not generating money for them, they will certainly leave. Whatever are the conflicts, they still generate money to casinos and affiliates and that is why we are all here.
Companies/people do bad decisions sometimes and these are difficult times. It seems to me that this is beyond reason and over complaint… stop showing off please.
Whatever are your reasons to keep on punching this, please know that one day you might also step in a pile of crap and become the next Jacques-Pierre Brissot of this industry so, take it easy and let’s move on.
Hopefully I made any sense. :hattip:

biggygMemberThe CAP today is not the cap we have been a part of for three years. For us ,the last 3 months have been riddled with conflict.Best Casino Partners certification was the event that changed things for us and opened our eyes a bit wider. When i came here in 2006 I assumed all groups here were good guys ,Now three years later I am a bit older and wiser.
So many times I have written things and then deleted them because I feel the amount of censorship and bannings lately have take away my ability to speak my mind on important events.
Best Casino Partners , Affiliate Guard Dog and now Cardspike /Absolute Slots – For us we are one issue away from being non posters.
I support Lou and respect this is his forum but in past couple months we really haven’t gotten anything of value from this place. My aff managers are all on my personal msn and i rather spend my time talking to them and WORKING than taking part in rubbish and god knows there is so much here lately (contact us if you want to be added to our chats lol)January 27, 2009 at 3:48 pm #793952Anonymous
InactiveOddly I think of the best partner issue as one of our positives.
They were certified, we pointed out the issues with the T&C changes, they were decertified until the issue was corrected.
Worked like a charm. Exactly the way it is supposed to. Things got fixed.

InactiveThe point of my post wasn’t to call CAP names it was to point out what a huge number of people think about it and reasons why there needs to be honesty and transparency while the rep still has some value. I’m sorry that you are insulted by what so much of the industry feels, it likely shows that something must be done sooner rather than later. I’ll leave it alone. Hopefully Dom does well with this situation. I’m sure CAP feels the same.
These are really just observations, I am not nor have I ever been owed money by CardSpike and don’t know any of these people involved. Call it an idustry observation by an old schooler.

Why do affiliates mask their aff id? Just wondering.
