For those interested, I just ran a pre-count on what we have for the Macau convention. So far, over 175 people are attending – and that’s before the cut off date for online registration on Nov 22. Usually we get a mad rush of registrations on the last day.
It appears we will have over 60 Affiliates for the first event in Asia. Some names I recognize from Europe, some from North America, some from the Far East. One I recognized as an extremely BIG affiliate from the Far East.
It also looks similar to the fist Casino Affiliate Convention in Amsterdam 5 years ago. Early adopters are rushing to this event. They will most likely be the big winners in the years ahead.
Thanks to CAP members for all your support and helping make the first Far East Casino Affiliate Convention an outstanding success.

November 20, 2007 at 1:13 pm #754501AnonymousInactiveI am sorry to miss this one – I am intrigued with the location but just couldn’t make the long trip fit in my schedule – it overlaps with my staff meeting and I have construction going on that I do need to supervise.
I will surely be in Amsterdam again.
November 20, 2007 at 2:06 pm #754503giftorgbestMemberI am sorry I can not attend CAC Macau although I planned to be there.
November 20, 2007 at 5:44 pm #754539poluroud20Member6 days till I leave and counting……..apparently its nuts there!
November 20, 2007 at 7:01 pm #754551AnonymousInactiveAs Marc pointed out, this is a first. I was there for the first CAC as well and look what it has grown into!
This is a great chance for some of you affiliates who haven’t been to any (or many) conventions to put names to faces, meet affiliate managers you’ve been dealing with, etc. CAC and CAP Euro are great for this too but they are already huge events which often means that you don’t get enough time to talk to everyone!
Here, at the Macau event, it will be a smaller crowd and for some people that means more opportunity.
It’s not too late to sign up – if any one needs any assistance please let me know. I am really looking forward to this event, and especially to collecting my beer winnings from Simmo

November 22, 2007 at 5:03 pm #754753AnonymousInactiveHmmm…
Go to Macau and buy Spearmaster 6 beers? Or don’t go to Macau and avoid the humiliation. Decisions, decisons…:sarcasm:
November 22, 2007 at 5:09 pm #754755AnonymousInactiveThe humiliation is nothing compared with the fun you’ll have in Macau. Our boy Marc recognized this fact in Vegas a few years back when he dived headfirst into the mud wrestling pit in his tuxedo as an apology… and I guarantee you no one forgot that gesture and that’s why he is still successful.
November 22, 2007 at 6:22 pm #754762AnonymousInactiveLol, more reasons than that for his success.
I would have loved to see the aff managers duke it out in the mud as originally planned… geez, even Vegas has rules of conduct.
November 22, 2007 at 6:44 pm #754763AnonymousInactiveDefinitely more reasons, yes – but this one is one everyone remembers
Where’s everyone staying, by the way? I know Simmo’s at the Venetian… I’m at Starworld on the 16th and Venetian 27th-30th…
Most hotels have free shuttle buses outside the ferry terminal – but they are located in two different areas, so I’m thinking of putting up a map depending on where people are staying. No need to take a taxi to most hotels.
November 22, 2007 at 7:20 pm #754765AnonymousInactiveOk, below is a very basic shuttle map – I would guess that 99% of you are arriving at the Macau Ferry Terminal – the few of you that are actually arriving at Macau Airport will have to take a taxi as very few visitors actually arrive by that method (the other main method is overland from China).
If anyone has any questions, or their hotel is not on the list, let me know and I will be happy to tell you how to get to your hotel. Even if you are stuck taking a taxi, it’s only likely to cost you $3-4 anywhere in town, and $8 to the Venetian.
The location of the Venetian shuttle is simply because it has far and away the most visitors at present. When the newer hotels open, they are likely to share the same loading area as the Venetian. This is across the street from the ferry terminal. There will be a line of people, but don’t worry – buses are coming every couple of minutes and you will be on a bus within 10 minutes.
For the other hotels, simply walk to your left and out the door – you will see buses and vans of all sorts, simply look for the signboards and if you don’t see one, ask. If the bus or van isn’t there, it will only be a matter of minutes before another one comes around. In the case of the Wynn, there is always a bus present but there were long lines the last time I visited – nevertheless, it won’t be longer than 15 minutes (hopefully).
November 22, 2007 at 7:46 pm #754766AnonymousInactiveOk – above was how to get to the hotel from Macau Ferry Pier.
Most of you are landing at HK Airport, so I will show here the two methods to get to Macau.
Method 1 – the most convenient way is to take a ferry DIRECT to Macau – do NOT pass through the Immigration in HK, if you do, you will need to follow method 2 (described in the next post).
The Ticketing Booth is located just BEFORE Immigration as indicated with a red dot and “Ferry Direct to Macau”. All of you must pass this point upon landing.
The current sailing schedule is as follows – please note that you MUST be at the booth 60 minutes before departure (you might get away with 45 but definitely no less) – if you have checked baggage. You will need to present your luggage claim tag when purchasing your ticket. The cost is HK$180 for Economy Class, and $280 for Super Class (priority boarding, bigger seats, and a free tasteless meal but this is what I take anyhow).
For those with carry-on ONLY, you may buy a ticket no less than 30 minutes before departure.

8S523 12:45
8S121 14:00
8S122 15:30
8S524 17:25
8S522 19:10
8S124 22:00Please note that only the airlines listed at the following link may use this service (it’s practically every airline but check just to be sure).
http://www.turbojetseaexpress.com.hk/e/airline_information.asp?vname=airline_informationNovember 22, 2007 at 7:56 pm #754768AnonymousInactiveMethod 2 – if for some reason you have passed through immigration already, or are going to stay in HK first, look at the graphic above – once you have passed immigration, you can take the Airport Express into town – if you are going straight to Macau, book the ticket to Hong Kong Station. The cost is HK$100 and the trip is 22 minutes.
Once you have arrived at Hong Kong Station (where, by the way, you can check in for your return flight if you don’t use method 1), go up to the second floor (I think… LOL…) and look for signs pointing to the Elevated Walkway. You are in the International Finance Centre (IFC).
Find the directions to the Shun Tak Centre – also known as the Macau Ferry Terminal – and you can walk to the Macau Ferry in about 10-15 minutes – or you can take a taxi but that might actually take longer.
At the Shun Tak Centre, go up to the departure floor – look for the TurboJet ticketing counters, and make sure you are buying a MACAU ferry ticket. Jetfoils run every 15-30 minutes, and cost varies but should be around HK$150 for an economy class ticket and $250 for a Super Class ticket (described in the last post).
Once you have purchased your ticket, make sure you leave enough time to go through Immigration, which could take 10-15 minutes. The departure gates are on the same floor as the ticketing counters.
The ride is about one hour long. When you arrive, you will be at the Macau Ferry Terminal in Macau, and you can hop on one of the shuttle buses.
Return journeys are all easily handled at the Macau Ferry terminal in Macau – but let’s get you to Macau first!
Look forward to seeing everyone there!
Ah – and one last thing – Simmo and I are on the 19:10 ferry to Macau, direct from HK airport, on the 26th – so anyone wanting to join up there is more than welcome.
November 23, 2007 at 8:03 am #754786AnonymousInactiveI still can’t live down the “mud” incident.
Well, for those that don’t know, the Frontier Hotel & Casino was demolished last week. That’s where the mud pit was.
I found out about it 2 days after it happened. I would have flown there to gloat.
My story and Video Links on the demolition
