BTW – Here is a good tool (if you use Firefox) to take a look at those sites that are using cloaking: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/59/
You can create a user agent that makes your browser look like the googlebot if you want and see what google’s bot would see.

How to recongnize it?I would like to know these above things. I would love to learn the technicals of this stuff even though I would never use it to harm others, just so I can get a better understanding of how search engines work and become a better SEO jedi on the light side.
Also, I would want to know how to protect myself from getting scraped or getting negatively impacted by blackhaters. So I would want to recognize when someone is doing this to me and then get it to stop. Which is one reason I would want do know how they do it so I get an idea on how to stop it instead of being completely defenseless.
I think explanations of how to do it, except for a very simplified introduction that will not enable imitation, is somewhat irresponsible.
Humans are human, and people who so far played by the rules will experiment.
We need to know how to look out for ourselves! That is what matters. Finding who is spamdexing, going after them. Blocking certain IPs, whatever.
We need HELP in defending ourselves!
