In my opinion it’s unlikely that a player will go from your site to All Star then find that link at the bottom (that doesn’t look like a link) to head to the other affiliate site before coming back to All Star Slots.
There a lots of unlikely scenarios in this world but in this industry we’ve all seen these turn into distinct possibilities and it’s always the afffiliate who loses out!
You take umbrage over not being informed about this thread but obvious no one informed your affiliates about the link in dispute. But of course that’s different, right :sarcasm:

it is not in the ‘spirit’ of good partnering to do so. Even though it is quite likely useless for direct traffic from our sites, I don’t like it.
This pretty much sums it up, “not in the spirit of good partnering”.

seedingltdMemberYup, no hard feelings. It is a bad deal for me period so it changes very little. As I said, the name, reputation, etc etc..all very respectable. The exit traffic is more than you would think, the highest quality traffic checks down there. I did… If you are going to drop 5K in an account you are going to check down there. Thanks for letting me know why. I will tell my online casino players that unfortunately we did not feel as though it was fair to be affiliated with all star for contractual reasons but it is certainly safe to play at by all reports.

seedingltdMemberNow, Dear Martyn,
I did not email you because the last we spoke you were having something fishy looked over for me regarding well….something fishy. Ms. Sarah knows of what I speak. No one ever got back to me. I sent an email to you asking for something else unrelated, also unanswered. Finally, I stated the tread to 1. see what others think first and 2. see what I think after seeing what they think.

My apologies, but as you see it was not reasonable for me to email you again. When will my question come back from your database manager?….
I still really like promoting your brands and I am confused as to why no one over there is as nice as other places I work with…just kidding. :shhh:

Do they though? In your quote from me you miss out the most important part…
Even if All Star Slots was advertised on the resulting site – which they’re not.
So with All Star not being advertised and your player left to go to that site and to come back again they couldn’t by the affiliate link from that site…there isn’t one. They don’t promote All Star Slots which means that the player is still tagged to you.

Are you saying we should have opened up our negotiations with the previous owners with affiliates when we purchased All Star Slots and AffiliateEdge???
As i said Dave, we had no option with the link on All Star, it’s part of the contract that came with it when we purchased it and looking at your account it will not affect you as you do not promote it either, nor do you promote any of our other casinos that contain no external footer links.

Jared, email me at [email protected] with the issue. Sarah left in November last year which may be a reason for her not getting back to you. The last email I got from you was on December 12th 2012 which was replied to. If you are waiting on an answer for something and it has been overlooked I do apologise and if you drop me an email with what is outstanding I will check into that for you as soon as possible. Please just bear in mind that I am currently on the catch up and follow up after attending LAC.
Thanks,

seedingltdMemberIn light of your reply’s and professionalism in explaining this, I will bite the bullet so to speak and continue to promote All Star Slots. You guys took a risk by buying it and I will do the same, this time. This is not to say that I like it one bit, but that’s life in the big city. Online casinos that are US friendly are rare and AE has been the best choice for some of my players. Your rules for affiliates are some of the best around as well. I will be happy to continue our discussion over email.
AussieDave, you are absolutely right and if I had more leverage in the industry I may not be so amiable to bend my will to the system. I will however always point out these types of things that I feel is unfair to us. I appreciate all of you “big affiliates” joining in on this as well. Don’t think I am stopping the conversation, I am just stating where I stand.

gokkenMemberYou know exactly what I mean Martyn by my post.
When I first came in contact with you back in your BetFred days, I thought you were a top bloke but for some reason you’ve turned into another AM with misplaced attitude. When the industry goes ass up you’d be good in politics!
Maybe you and Rak can spin it for the same party

I don’t believe that my attitude has changed since the Betfred days and I don’t know how you can judge me considering we have zero contact. You’ve never met me and I believe we talked on the phone once.
It seems to be a theme with you that you fall our with your AM’s, we’re supposed to work together to generate business and build your account with us. I’m not sure if you do this with any of your partners, but at least your attitude has remained constant.
I don’t want to go round in circles with you, it’s not productive and for the record I have no interest in politics.
I’m going to move on now and deal with Muffins issue so we can put this to bed and continue generating money with those affiliates that want to.

InactiveThis is getting out of hand. If you’re really bothered by a link that no one clicks then just ask Martyn to make a separate landing page for your traffic. Martyn doesn’t win AM of the year because he’s a douchebag. He’s a good guy and a great AM.
