I don’t see how people can make any money on rev share for poker. For sportsbook/casino yes, but for the small percentage on the rake you’d have to have alot of active players.

Almost each of my players made the $100 mark in their first month of playing, imagine it for years. Not all of them are playing every month, but if I multiply the possible CPA amount and the continuous income from these players, so far I have earned around 20 or 30 times of the average CPA amount on each player. I think it depends on your promoting methods, I mean when you think your signed-up players will stay long at a poker room or not (I think bonus hunter players will just stay until they can get their bonus then they move on, that’s why I didn’t want to target them with my site :).

I prefer rev share, I think that is a win-win for every party involved.

Reactions to the AP/UB cheating issue are disappointing at best, for myself, and my reason is that players are effectively saying its okay if we get cheated, then lied to … to the point of insulting our intelligence .. as long as you pay us back IF we catch you. But don’t worry, other than that we’ll still be coming around to support your business.[/quote]

I believe part of is that many casual players don’t even know about the cheating. 60 minutes are covering the whole scandal (they were interviewing at the WSOP) so I’m pretty sure this’ll soon change. Notice how UBs press release was buried away deep within the site.

I really gave poker players more credit than that, and some of course are taking stance but its amazing how many are so willing to forgive. It almost is enough to make me question my whole approach to this industry because I’ve tried very hard to always do the right thing but this sends me the message that nobody freakin’ cares.

Many grinders have left both AP and UB on principle. The fish don’t read the forums/poker websites so aren’t even aware. This leaves the ‘bottom line’ regs who know that games are significantly softer now and don’t care that they’re lining proven cheaters pockets.

So what’s the attraction? Pretty graphics were never enough to sway me into playing somewhere I wasn’t comfortable. And how could anyone be comfortable playing at a place where everytime you got beat by someone who called when they should have folded … left you wondering if you got beat by an idiot or by a super user?

Ignorance, softer games and decent bonuses+rakeback are the attraction I believe. Also, most affiliates continue to promote them (cardplayers for e.g….what a joke).

Now that I’ve calmed down a bit after discovering CAPs stance I guess the most level-headed approach for those continuing to promote these rogues is to at least educate their visitors of the risks, the overwhelming majority do not.

And please….no more CPA/rev share hijacks, kthxbi?
