All that is nice and just goes to show that Fortune don’t need to bother with spam – unless that’s what’s paying for nice trips.

BTW, if Golden Casino isn’t part of Fortune, do you have any idea which group it’s part of? Only fair we go after them also.

I agree with what CasinoBonusGuy had to say about them being a good program, in the sense that they treat their players well. Except when they are allowing their current & potential players to be bombarded with spam. I do very well with Fortune monetarily & haven’t ever had any problems with their program in the 5 years I’ve been an affiliate of theirs. Except for the spam! Great player retention, excellent customer support, timely payments & good bonuses to promote. But, this spam problem not only tarnishes their image, but ours as affiliates & the industry as a whole.

I no longer believe that Fortune is any good whatsoever. I’ve just received MORE spam from this affiliate. The unsubscribe link tells me that I subscribed at some site called vegasrolls.com (never heard of it, let alone visit it or subscribe to some crappy spam list there).

Fortune – you are spam-approving and a disgrace to this industry. I shall be doing my level best to have your domains taken down.

You clearly have zero interest in preventing spam or protecting what’s left of the good name of our industry. The online casino scene would be cleaner without you.

I shall be publicly outting you as as spammers in my soon-to-be added public blacklist.

That’s the last you’ll hear from me on this because common sense and ethical marketing clearly means nothing to you.

Ok guys this has to come to a close.

Fiction is this an over reaction or a Vendetta? Do 4 emails to delete a day really make your life an unbearable living hell?

I delete hundreds of emails a day and it doesnt phase me a bit. I hate SPAM but I dont go wild eyed over it.

You do realize that Fortune is a real company that has hundreds of employees who’s family depend on the income they earn working there? Thousands of other affiliates are happy with Fortune and receive monthly commissions that help feed their families too. And I would be willing to bet that tens of thousands of players ENJOY playing at their properties, no?

You want to bring all that to a grinding halt and bring down their domains because there is one spammer who sent you offers for the Fortune brand Casinos? I can understand targeting the spammer, but is it reasonable to disrupt everyones lives over this?

Did Marvyn contact you and try to get the necessary proof to possibly ban this spammer from their program?

If a rogue affiliate accused YOU of spamming and demanded your account be immediately closed and this was a false claim would that be ok? If he DID opt in to your list or newsletter and then report you as a spammer as a way to eliminate the competition would you want your account closed and all your players forfeited without investigation?

If he refused to help the program sort things out and instead went on a campaign at message boards to have them closed down unless they submitted to his demands and shut your account, would that be fair.

Guys we hate SPAM as much as anyone else. We certainly dont advocate SPAM and we do ask our partners to take action against rogue affiliates who use this “marketing” technique. But trying to destroy an entire company over a few emails is a little over the top no?

Can we settle this amicably and sensibly? I will be happy to assist.

I refer to my post in the other forum. Fortune stop spamming = no more action.

Fortune stop spamming = no more action.

Do what I demand or I will damage your business=blackmail

Lets work together with Marvyn in good faith and give him the info he has requested. That equals a postive approach to solving the problem, that what we prefer to see.

Again I will be happy to assist and join a conference call with you and Marvyn or anyone else you feel comfortable with at Fortune.

Blackmail? That’s ridiculous and there is zero point me discussing this issue further here.

I’m not the one spamming here.

Thanks! Just received your PM and I am on it. :hattip:

Believe me I hate spammers and want this rogue to stop, but we do have to follow due dilligence or we open up the door for anyone to have anyone elses affiliate account closed by going on the warpath with the program.

Just responding in defense of my postings in this thread. I was getting sometimes over a hundred a day in fortune spam, not 4, see: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/spam-amp-more-spam.27046.html?. I depend on income from this business to support myself. I use an old Cobalt server that really can’t handle an overload of spam. Over & over the amount of spam promoting the Fortune casinos was pushing my allocated disk space over quota. My server would shut down, again & again. Costing me money, time & aggravating the hell outta me. I have contacted Fortune for months & most of the time I never even got a response. When I did get a response, the promise that the spam would stop wasn’t kept. I kept getting bombarded! What the heck am I suppose to do? Many times I had to shut down all my important email addresses for days to avoid my server shutting down. How many important emails did I lose during that time? Coincidentally, every time I posted here about the Fortune spam, I got a ton of “undeliverable” mail to my server. Causing it to shut down, again. Yes, Marvyn has been very helpful & I know he is doing his best. But, they should not allow any spamming in the first place. Period.

Ok I spoke with both Marvyn and the director of marketing at Fortune Affilaites. They take SPAM very seriously and do want to rectify the situation ASAP.

For a start they are going to demand removal of Erik and you Fiction from all lists by the affiliate(s) that were spamming you. Both of your Please PM me with a complete list of all address you have been receiving spam at from Fortune affiliates along with their affiliate tracker IDs.

If anyone else is having a problem with Spam from a Fortune Affiliate please PM me or Marvyn and you will be taken off those lists.

Lets all work together to reduce Spam and I think we can make some real progress.
