InactiveHmm, thats bad stuff.
If any 3-month time period should lapse in which you do not refer at least 3 players, you will forfeit the right to any future commissions on players referred previously and your affiliate account will be closed.

InactiveNot sure that the move has anything to do with it, but I know this was added in the last week in the rules. I hope they have no plans to enforce it, I will be a very unhappy camper.

The move doesnt have anything to do with this change. I mentioned that thread because Elgoog didnt connect Simon with VIP profits. They are all one big happy family now and Simon is active here at CAP and could comment on the terms and condition question.

InactiveHello all,
wow you guys are fast!
I expected reactions on this, but not this fast. The new T&C’s were just uploaded last Friday and the announcement still needs to go out.
Not really trying to “sneak in” anything, we have always been communicative with any changes. An official announcement about these and other changes will go out soon.
I would like to take this opportunity however to explain before this is blown out of proportion.
It is not our intention to heavily enforce this, especially when we know the affiliate is consistent in his/her efforts.
It will be taken on a case by case basis, hence the “exception” line.
This being said, our industry has been moving with extreme pace and certain terms and conditions need to be reconsidered.
This was one of them. Some (affiliates that sent 2 players back in 2004) will not like it, although the majority will have nothing to worry about.
Our merchants do their best in converting sign ups and spend even more in retaining the players ensuring many reloads thus residual income for the affiliate.
This is what affiliates expect our brands to do.
The same way, we wish for our affiliates to be consistent in sending players to our merchants. Those that have had a relationship with VIP Profits for some time, know that there is nothing to worry about and that their residual income is secured.
An official announcement will be sent out soon, but feel free to respond.

InactiveI still don’t like it.
Let’s say I had 50 players (lifetime revenue – like original T&C’s stated)…
Now – because conversions are low (for some reason or another), I decide to remove banners. All those players (after 3 months) would be gone because I no longer promote your brands.
Players that you NEVER would have had…
Doesn’t sound right to me.
I wouldn’t work with any program that put this into their T&C’s. Promotes stealing, IMO.

InactiveI knew Simon was with them, ty Prof.
(Once again proved emails and posts on the internet can be interpreted different ways)
I just signed up with Vipprofist because i bought a site wich was loaded with their banners, so i thought…easier to become their affiliate….
I will not manage to bring them those visitors every 3 months, not intended to give them a prime spot immediatly
I will drop them, even if they would roll it back or give other explanations,
i dont like the taste(unfortunately i liked the green caps they offered at CAC Adam, i need a new one, ill never get one now…)
Sorry for you Simon, nothing personal, you know that

InactiveNo matter how you spin it Mario it is retroactive and plain wrong! This paragragh here gets me…
“Those that have had a relationship with VIP Profits for some time, know that there is nothing to worry about and that their residual income is secured.”
So for those affiliates that just go about minding their own business and and have not had the time to build a relationship with you can just bug off? That is so totally messed up and wrong, your in the wrong here, we signed up for life, you cannot go changing rule when it suits you!

InactiveSo, no lifetime players at VIP.

your scenario falls under “exceptions”
Again, it is important to know that this will NOT be an automated process.
Affiliates concerned will be contacted timely and discussion will be entered into to explore the situation.
In this scenario it would be interesting to find out why conversions have been low. You mentioned “ALL THOSE players” which means you have been consistent in yur efforts.

InactiveMy two cents

This change in the terms and conditions is nothing new and was mentioned to affiliates months ago. Upon many affiliates request we held off doing anything till now. In 9am.com we added an inactive affiliate clause that was extremely fair to all affiliates and no one complained about this. This worked very well and was rarely enforced.
Quote:Your affiliate manager is always available to help you develop a plan for success, and exceptions can be made at the manager’s discretion.Nearly all affiliates here should note that these terms and conditions should not affect them. The only affiliates to be truly affected by these changes are the ones who have ceased sending traffic for the past couple of years and making money from old players.
What we are trying to stop are writing small checks that most of them are undeliverable and turn out to be more expensive to write than they are worth (basically $15, $20 a month checks).
VIP Profits and 9am.com have both been overly generous in the past to affiliates and bent rules for affiliates to make more money.
We plan to be fair to each affiliate and notice will be given to affiliates should they fall into the category of not sending players. I plan for the funds not be taken from the affiliate, but be released when the affiliate starts sending sending players again.
Remember as Mario pointed out it not our intention to heavily enforce this but just to mkake affiliates aware of this. Most affiliates who have sent traffic to us will continue to get paid as normal. We are in support of affiliates, but also need to protect the best interest of the company.

Ohh how kind of you to be generous to the person that brought you the players in to begin with, that you promised to pay for LIFE, no matter the amount of earnings they make!
