InactiveHi Connie this is Brian and I just wanted to let you know that I believe the consensus amoung the webmasters is that the promotion and distribution of CD’s to players that we have sent to CC is not acceptable.
If you could assure us that each webmaster gets credit if a player signs up from the CD then it would be a great program. As I have been involved myself in the creation and distribution of gaming CD’s I find it very unlikely that we do receive credit.
I am one of your oldest and most loyal webmasters of CC and have always been a large proponent of Casino Coins. However if this CD program is going to remain in place then I will drastically reduce my traffic which is being sent to you.
There is a simple solution to this, have a seperate splash page for webmasters it’s not that difficult. As it stands if you plan to continue down this road it signals that affiliate marketing is not that important to Casino Coins.
Those are my thoughts, I hope others will express theirs, CC use to be the top of the top and I would like to see it back up there.

InactiveHello Connie, welcome back.
I am pleased to see you again, however I have developed some serious issues with the Coins program.
Gamesandcasino is in a redesign process right now, and the new version does not include coins casinos.
None of my other sites do anyway.
As you can see my conversions are nil and have been for some long time. I have continued to send a limited amount of traffic, generating enough downloads to where one would expect real players. Never happened.
To add insult to injury, I find out that the visitors I send are offered CDs upon arrival at the site, without aff id, and that these CDs are popular.
I am done giving away expensive traffic and I am going to remove Coins.
I feel badly about it – I wish I had something better to say to you. It is not a good start for you and I tink you are a good manager.
I guess you can only work with what you are given. And that is simply not very encouraging.

InactiveIssues with coins has been
1) cd’s order form on frontpage with as Yali told me ” No Way would affiliates get credit for this” and ” No way would they give us a seperate landing page”
Now I have been told you are willing to do this now but not same quality of landing page.2) Conversions are terrible.
3) Chargebacks are higher than any other program I promote.
4) Yali said it is normal to loose 20% of traffic sent by affiliates. Which is not a reasonable amount of lost traffic. I know no program can be 100% all the time, but 20% loss is way to much.
In the past 3 years I have promoted coins I have always felt coins cared about there affiliates until this month. Connie I still feel you do care and it is out of your hands. It is sad to see one of the most respectable programs turn this way.

Amen to this … after 3 years of promoting CC, I too have started
reducing exposure for all the points mentioned above.

InactiveThe CD issue is big with me. The fact that is fairly predominant on the homepage of all your sites and as affiliates we’re not getting credited for it is a definite disappointment.
I think that it would be wise for Casino Coins to either create a separate landing page for affiliates (best solution in my opinion), or figure out a way so that affiliates are getting credited for the CD’s of players they refer to the properties.
2nd point I’d like to discuss is the lack of originality of the banners Casino Coins has. Currently a good number of your banners are a complete rip-off’s of City Club Casinos banners… So having something a bit more unique would be nice.
3rd point is possibly integrating a means for separate tracking… For people such as myself who do allot of PPC advertising … and in some cases sending traffic directly to the casino’s it would be nice feature in order to track our campaigns and measure ROI.
That’s about it for now!
Best,

InactiveHi Connie,
Casino Coins use to be my number 2 money maker 3 years ago, but has slipped to being one of the worst. Conversions are terribly bad and have been for over a year now. CD’s that are sent out due to affiliate traffic to the casino should be tagged with the affiliate ID so affiliates get the credit for sending the traffic in the first place. If all Casino Coins affiliates reduce traffic to nill where will Casino Coins and the casinos be a year from now? Yali’s attitude stinks to say the least. Traffic is expensive for affiliates bottom line.March 24, 2004 at 10:03 pm #646790Anonymous
InactiveHello,
Thank you for your feedback.
This is a great start to continue our long term relationship.– CD
In regards to the CD, the short term solution will
be a direct splash page that does not advertise
the CD. This splash page will look identical to the
regular casino homepage but will have no
navigational functionality, other than “Download Now”.
This increases the likelihood of your player converting.
The splash page will also have your affiliate ID.I will email each of you the splash page URL address
with your affiliate ID.– Conversions
English Harbour Casinos are making every effort to
constantly improve upon conversions.
Currently, chip drops to registered players are taking
place every week in order to encourage your players
to convert. You can see those converted customers at
Casino Coins – Summary report.Further, English Harbour Casinos has reduced the
minimum requirement to make a purchase.
For example: Millionaire Casino has reduced from
$1000 to $100 as the minimum purchase to receive
a Welcome Bonus.
This will motivate those players who feel that the
minimum purchase level is too high to give the Casino a go.Finally, conversions are something that vary across
the board. We have some webmasters that are very
happy with their conversions and some that
aren’t so happy. The best way to address
conversions is by setting up individual plans for each
of you to improve your conversions from reals to customers.– Chargebacks
Chargebacks has been always an issue on the gaming
industry. This is something that Casino Coins doesn’t have
control over. However, together we can analyze why
players have chargebacks and try to minimize the number
of this type of customer.Nocturnal:
Nice to meet you virtually.
New creative has been added to Casino Coins on
March 9th. I will pass your feedback to our creative
department. In regards to separate tracking, we will look into adding
a new system to help our webmasters who send
their traffic trough PPC and wants to track the performance on those. Please send an
email to [email protected]
and we can set up a different ID for you for the mean time.Best Regards,

GuestI’m going to post this in the public forums as a call to all aff managers but after reading this thread I wanted to make certain the folks at CC read it.
heres goes:
we affiliates get abused quite often
and its a rather rediculously frustrating situation because the reason the
affiliate program came to its full potential was to avoid ruining things for
a lot of people. It was in the adult market where they quickly figured
out that it was coming to a situation where there would be a 1 million sites all
competing against each other and all paying the many costs associated with
running such a site. Common sense said the majority of the bunch was due
to stagnate in the inability to outgrow the other; meaning nobody was
ever going to really make some serious dough after adding in op costs and
advertising etc.only the credit card processors, hosts and PPCs would get rich; the real
earners of the money would stay in a state of overpopulated competition
which would make it hard even for the bigger players to reach their profit
potential. But what if we partnered? worked together to bring in the sheep; instead
of 2 of us fighting over every one sheep to come along. The money
saved in partnering; would help us all come out with more. Those willing to
take on the headaches of dealing with customers on a one on one basis; as well as do the rather greatly increased amount of bookwork including paying everyone each month ON TIME, (sponsors) would of course make a little more
(usually). The others could avoid the dealing with the public and concentrate on the advertising end of things and make their money from that side of the coin.it was a win win situation that run honorably, will produce loyal
affiliations where everybody works towards the goal of making money /
keeping the client spending and happy. It was a team that truly understood the importance of the other. No matter
how big a program gets; it can only stand to gain by continuing to treat
its affiliates right; because think what you will, that is for the most
part extra money coming in that you would likely have never seen otherwise. The net is huge and so varried that the odds are slim a program would pickup
very many players that are brought in by their small partners who merely ask
to be paid what they earned according to the sponsors’s own choice of pay
structure. That we pay for advertisement, work as hard as we would if it were our very
own casino; to sell it, seems to go unappreciated which is one thing;
but when we have our rightfully earned income shaved or threatened to be
witheld because we didn’t send enough new players lately; that is a
guarantee the program in question will never be close to what it could have
become if it had merely honored it’s own agreement; without any kind of
cutting corners or shaving. Sending CDs without our link code in cross
market effort; popup exits without our code; all that stuff is what is
holding back your programs.no wonder I never make any money with CC

GuestPS
but there is certainly no wonder why I don’t ever send them any sizeable amounts of traffic…. is there?

GuestThe page without a cd link will have “no navigational functionality, other than “Download Now”.
IMHO that is horse poop, and does not address the problem adequately even for a short-term “solution”.
That would be great, if people who visited a casino were complete morons who had no need to check a casino site out before depositing their hard earned dollars.
What is the long term solution?
I was sitting on the fence on this until I read that, and reading between the lines I see that Casino Coins does not see affiliate marketing as a priority.
I think I still have 2 links to a CC casino on my page. Two links too many.

InactiveThis splash page will look identical to the
regular casino homepage but will have no
navigational functionality, other than “Download Now”.As a visitor, this would frustrate me and I would leave.
There is no attempt to sell the casino on the site then. To sell you need to give acess to information, that is what players want.
Game descriptions. Promo descriptions. The lot of it. It’s there for a reason.
It’s not that hard to hook up a fully functional page – I have some pages on my sites that are actual entries to other sites.
Many places offer various “faces” now, and all of them are functional.

GuestOh ya, and by the way, I have only ever had two chargebacks in the 4 or 5 years now that I’ve been in the business.
TW0 !!!
that’s out of
… lets see
using stats at one program from 1 year ago
1600 hits sent
x
10 months
16000
+3200
19100
thats about 20,000
x 4 main programs
80,000 visitors
x 5 years
400,000 hits senti had 52 signs
x 10
520
104
624 players
x 5 years
3120 depositing players and I’ve had 2 chargebacks. the second only last week.that surely must turn the heads of many webmasters that are seeing chargebacks on a consistent basis.

vladcizsolMemberI agree. We need a fully functional landing page/casino skin that is identical to the currect casinos without the CD player Highjacker links.
I would not be interested in sending my players to the splash page I previewed as I am 99% sure it would lower conversions to an unacceptable level.
Players need to see the games previews, banking info, company background etc as it makes them feel comfortable with making a first deposit at the casino
Hey, I have an idea that would save the designers work…., why not remove the CD links from the CURRENT casinos and make a CD splash page for your direct marketing efforts?
