Good luck. I’m a die-hard Mariners, Sonics, and Seahawks fan. I was born in Everett, and grew up in Brier, which is just a little north of Seattle. I haven’t been there in over ten years, though.

    Thanks Kidd …

The M’s are having a tough year so far. But at least you haven’t switched your loyalties to the Texas Rangers — who are doing a lot better than the M’s this year, unfortunately.

I love the M’s too… until they play my hometown Astros this summer, that is:D

My know-it-all brother & law laughed at me when I told him the ‘stros would be good this year with Clemens & Pettite…

He said the M’s (and every other team for that matter) would beat up on old man Clemens…

    Let’s check the standings:

    NL CENTRAL

    Astros 18 10 .643
    Cubs 17 12 .586
    Reds 15 13 .536
    Cardinals 15 14 .517
    Brewers 13 15 .464
    Pirates 12 14 .462

    AL WEST

    Angels 19 10 .655
    Rangers 18 10 .643
    Athletics 13 15 .464
    Mariners 11 17 .393

AND, Anaheim (M’s division) is the oly team that has a better record than Houston right now!

Gawd I wish my brother-in-law read this forum!!! :p

    Mariners Win! Mariners Win!

I just got home from the game.

    M’s beat the Yankees 6-2.

Do you believe in miracles? YES!!

Yay! I’m always happy when someone beats the yankees! They always seem to be the team to beat.

I love ball. Even coached a couple minor league teams and played on a beer league.

I used to love watching the ugly pitcher, Johnson or whatever his name is, on the Mariners. Whatever happened to him, he still there? Damn, he was coyote ugly, but a hell of a pitcher!

As you can tell, I haven’t watched for a while. The player strike and the big player turnover on the Blue Jays turned me off pro-ball years ago – and I used to catch any untelevised games on the radio, that’s how devoted I was.

Randy Johnson got traded to the Arizona Diamondbacks, where almost immediately he helped them win the World Series.

Don’t get us started… LOL… in Australia the object is not to beat the hell out of the ball, the primary object is to defend what are known as “stumps”…

    Go figure… :D

Well first, I wouldn’t call the women I’ve seen play softball “girls” to their faces…

And second, if Derek Jeter, Brett Boon, and Jason Giambi are “girls” then may the Lord make me one! 😮

Randy Johnson pitched his second perfect game yesterday.

Too bad he’s not with the Mariners anymore.

    Yeah that was awesome!

I wish I had seen the game.

Randy was a great pitcher but there was some bad blood with the old M’s management and he wanted to move on.

Also, in those days, the M’s couldn’t afford to pay him anyway.

It’s too bad, cause he’s been great since he left Seattle.

Yeah. He was my favourite pitcher.
We only get Canadian and Mariner games here for the most part, so I followed the Mariners, and I loved watching that guy pitch.

Seems like the ball’s halfway to the plate before he lets go, his arms are so long.
