InactiveThere is no written policy I know of.
We don’t link directly to sites when we don’t want them to follow the link back to the message.
Any other links don’t need the “x”.
I suppose it’s better to err in favor of the “x” sometimes, rather than the other way around.

InactiveIf i don’t want to give a site credit, such as a scraper etc, then i add the x.. if it’s a good site, or my own site, or a site i am referncing, then I keep the x out

Personally, I don’t care if they follow my link and see that I had something to say about their idiocy, its more that a link is supposed to be viewed as a vote right.. well I’m damn sure not voting for those that I put an x in front of, and I’m not providing them any backlinks either

I think what happens is.. as ppl start to join the forum, they don’t know why the x is there, they see it though, and in being considerate, they follow the trend
.. I’ve even seen ppl use the xx infront of their own URL

InactivePeople should put the x in the middle instead of in front. That way the link is clickable, but goes to a 404. Then all you have to do is cut out the x and refresh.

Inactivethatd be handy.. just wondering, do alla those 404’s hurt CAP at all? We share alotta links in here

Inactivewhy not just type it like casinoaffiliateprograms.com you don’t need that stupid x at all

InactiveBecause then it would not be a link. You would still need to copy and paste it into a new browser window.

InactiveIf you leave your left little finger on the control button, then you do not need to move your hand very much.. your index finger only has to move a few keys at a time and it only takes about a second.
Use right hand to highlight the url.. stop just before the x.. then.. in an amazing dash of speed, ctrl-c, ctrl-n, ctrl-v and presto.. it is there and you have not really wasted any time at all

InactiveYou can actually do it 100% with the mouse too..
Start at the end of the url..click the left mouse button, and highlight righhhhht on up to the x.. then click with the ring finger, hit copy.. slide up to the url bar, use that index finger again to right click.. hit paste, hit go.. and ur there! ..
Today, I was thinking that my life was getting entirely to busy, however after participating in this thread, I am assured that I was wrong, I have entirely to much time on my hands here
.. but shhhh don’t anyone, ppl have ways of filling up free time
hehehehhe and you know who you are too
