Would be wise to keep an eye on programs leaving states

I wanted to add that we shouldn’t take an accusing tone when / if there is a reason for concern but rather I am just asking that we keep a little bit tighter ship in terms of posting concerns … and that is all they would be.

I’m definitely not looking for witch hunt and would be quick to speak against one but at same time as i mentioned it would be easy to see precious months slip past … wasted on a program that should have been called out sooner.

If there is a blatant problem from the obvious number of posts about income dropping off sharply … it will be enough for myself to draw back because I can’t afford mistakes right now.

Programs that stick with us and treat us right will see reward. We (many of us) are still rushing to get our US traffic sites something where they can play but time is coming when we will again turn our attention to promoting MGS only we’ll have to do it in other countries.

this takes time, possible translation, etc. But it will happen and already is in some cases. I’d hate to a program that chose to crap on their proven affiliates when if they’d done the right thing … 6 months to a year from now they’d be seeing aff support instead of hearing aff warn others away.

Your concerns are valid and I have seen similar drops. What the programs must remember is the odds are very good they will have access to the US market in time and they want to maintain the strong relationships they have now with affiliates. I would hope they wouldnt “cross off” affiliates who were heavily weighted with US Players.

Most of us are scrambling to adapt to the present market conditions and to boost our non us traffic. That takes money and cash flow so we can afford to have our pages translated and our domains and links adjusted towards new markets. I hope the programs keep that in mind as well.

    Same boat here.

Experience pretty strange player behavior after the US move.

Not even going to get much into conversions but at some point I went to test a sign up in a MGS from Canada and the site wouldn’t let me download like I was in the US.

God knows what else is going on.

    Hi all,

I just came from a program that has always been lucrative and was shocked to see my income. I have several accounts with them due to partnerships and all three that make money were far below normal or in the red. (not that any make millions but they did or did make enough to cause me pain when it wasn’t there).

I’ve seen stranger things than that happen so I’m not yet too concerned but I would point out that if anything … we should see the players we have … continue for a long time because 1) they are already proven long time players why would they leave in perfect timing with the stop of new registarations? 2) they got no where else to go if they want to play MGS: they’ve already proven they prefer that casino where you were making income from them the months before … over all the existing ones they had tried so the majority of those players should stick around a long time.

I think we should keep a loose eye on situations and when we see a trend that seems unlikely lets report it and compare. there may be others who have been holding back also. I don’t think these are times where we can afford to be too relaxed because remember if we do spot an obvious situation it will likely take a month or two to get it worked out which translates to 3 or more months without income or low income. And that only increases the longer we don’t say anything.

I’ll name my program of concern next month if stats are as bleak at all three accounts. It is likely i just caught winners at all three accounts this one month. It does happen.

but it was a wake up call that you shouldn’t see a big drop off of what you are used to seeing, you just won’t likely see a big increase unless you get traffic for Europe etc.

    thanks for coming in

    S.

I think the same program is causing me some concern on non-US players in the wake of their pull-out from the US. I sincerely hope that programs that have built up a flawless reputation over the years are not going to jeopardize it over the pull out.

Yes because the Prof is SO right. Its a long life. Anything could happen but I suspect at some point the market will be re-opened and it won’t be easy to compete with the Vegas casinos if on top of everything else you have proven affs working against you because you turned your back on them when they needed to be treated fairly and just.

That’s all we’re asking for. Fair and just.

And I think we have already proven that the programs that support us will benefit greatly down the road.
