InactiveInteresting…well it will be a short-term promotion because unless they have a new business model (i.e. advertising supported), it will be tough to pay people in customer service, marketing etc. with no revenue coming in.

InactiveWho had affiliates here?
If this is a “promotion”, do affiliates that were referred going to be turned back on?

InactiveNo one is going to just decide to give all the revenue earned from the poker room back to the players indefinately. This is just a short term orchestrated marketing ploy to attain new customers. If you will notice there are no t&Cs for this and trust me it will be changed back in the future. I can see doing this for a month or so if you pick up 10K new customers and 5K of them start betting sports or the casino. It relates to the saying you have to spend some to make some. In the long run it may prove to be a good marketing strategy but this is temporary. However, trying to justify they can do this because they have many other sources of income from sports horses and casino is retarded. Sure that keeps them a float during this marketing test but give me a break, are they telling me they don’t like the color green.

InactiveThe affiliates who had poker traffic, just had it shut off for this “promotion.”
So, will it turn back on when this “promotion” ends?

InactiveI’m curious what other affiliates have to say about this. Can’t imagine too many people are happy to hear that the traffic they brought to WSEX just got turned to zero.

InactiveSooo glad I don’t promote this property, I have to imagine that they are drawing in players, with free rake, and then later will find another way to profit, that or they are just hoping to create stickiness with free rake and promote the hell outa their sports books.. either way the affiliate program is just not needed? WTH is that, I’d drop em like a hot potato and do my best to make sure the entire internet knew how well they treat their business partners and those that supported them when they did ‘need’ that support.
If I find a well written article on the subject, just in support of the rest of you (as we all need to remember to stand as one) you will shorely find it on my websites!

InactiveWow.
As the operator of a soon-to-be-launched site, I say this stinks to high heaven. :bullshit:
I can’t believe they brought in traffic, only to shaft everyone when they got a bit of momentum.
I only wish that players knew how true to their word WSEX is. But considering how the company is simply giving away poker like free coffee at 7-11, I don’t think they care about image.
