Woo Hoo! I made my first bit ‘o money from a sub affiliate today.
Almost enough for a big mug of cappuccino!
June 21, 2004 at 8:16 am #650715AnonymousInactiveLOL – Im with you – Ive got dozens of affiliates with several programs, but the most I ever see is $1-$5 a month in my sub accounts – sure feel sad for all of them if they truly are only making that much!
June 21, 2004 at 11:25 am #650720vladcizsolMemberThis is par for the course when it comes to 2nd tier income.
June 21, 2004 at 1:44 pm #650721AnonymousInactiveIve always been interested in matching up numbers/results … for instance I recall whom I signed up under for one program several years ago and I have my DOUBTs they are actually earning 5% of what I am monthly.
Of course I figure about the time I/we started challenging the totals we would see other unwanted ramifications. That and I am certain a few logical excuses would be proposed and everything would immediately be kosher once we brought it to their attention – LOL!
June 21, 2004 at 5:47 pm #650735AnonymousInactiveInteresting…
Never had paid much attention to the sub affiliate stats as I had come to the conclusion no one that ever signed up under me in casino programs had ever made any money.
Of late, there is an upswing in this sub aff thingy. Maybe as a matey gesture, some people who sign up under you and vice versa could provide information of a substantial nature (over $100?) so you can see you are getting a rightful sub-aff commision?
June 21, 2004 at 6:09 pm #650736AnonymousInactiveWell the next time you speak with Craig ask him how his casino rewards sub affiliate account is going – I signed up under him way way back when …
Course Im not sure how much hes still involved with the business, but he should have been seeing substantial results (much more than a few dollars) since I signed up.
I figure unless you have several hundred/thousand sub affiliates your probably getting that profit shaved to beat hell and then you still are, but maybe then its enough to add up.

Definately what we should do. I always try to sign up under a CAP member or under the CAP certified programs. I’ll keep the people I’ve signed up under notified of money I make.
Most of the programs I’m with I had already signed up for before I discovered CAP, though. :p
June 21, 2004 at 7:08 pm #650739AnonymousInactiveIt’s extremely difficult earning money from 2nd tier. The road is long and hard, and odds are by the time you start earning anything with a specific program it’ll shut down, or make a marketing error and lose its affiliate base. I was actually earning 6k a month from one program and then they shut down. To thier credit they sent me one last affiliate check, which is something most programs would have not done.
For the most part casinos actually offer crappy 2nd tier returns. (there are some exceptions) and due to this it falls back on signing up super affiliates. I have some huge subs for integrity casinos, slot land, and referback, so I earn decent commission from those programs. Meanwhile with Casino Rewards I have over 50 subs and earn less than $50 a month from them.
If you’re planning on recruiting subs, casinos is not the way to go. I only do well in the casino industry since I’ve been in it for so long.

June 21, 2004 at 7:38 pm #650744AnonymousInactiveWell for me personally its not really important nor a requirement that I do well in the sub affiliate arena … Id rather use that data as a potential indicator of shaving!
However as I mentioned as soon as you were to bring any discrepancy to a programs attention – half a dozen excuses would be fired off – par for the course – and theyd promise to do better.
I have a sub-affiliate for an un-named program that I know is making decent earnings – my sub account always shows but a few dollars – Ive always figured its probably best to just keep my mouth shut and continue to pull in the table scraps though I have no doubt my main account is being shaved just as much or more!
… turn the page.

June 22, 2004 at 2:00 pm #650761AnonymousInactiveI once had a webmaster page, got 3 affiliates. Combined they got 14 hits, of which I think were all test clicks, and they have been dormant ever since  Based on that experience, I’ve never created another webmaster page, it just seems like a waste of time.
Now that i’ve done rambling – do you all have webmaster pages?
June 22, 2004 at 2:10 pm #650764AnonymousGuestMost of the casino portal sites have a page of casino affiliation programs.
I guess we just like to cover all the bases – but I’ve never gotten much out of it. Apparently, most haven’t!
I don’t know how many people here have whole sites which specialize in affiliation programs, tho.

June 23, 2004 at 1:00 am #650795AnonymousGuestit has long been a (small) concern of mine about CR’s sub-aff deal because as Ark said, it is quite likely a symptom of something bigger which is where I really (big) get concerned.
I remember the Prof stating he had something like 150 subs with CR but yet made nearly nothing on them.
I would be very interested in his post in respect to this thread because I have brought up issues like this (where the Prof had stated in the past that he had troubles with a program) and then much later when I bring it up he would post that that was history and now he’s being treated quite well by the program.
So take what I said with a grain of salt at least until the Prof chimes in. I might remember wrong or might have mis-understood the prior post, or maybe I missed the follow-up.
But it is for that reason + that others were not having the same success with CR as was I – that I stopped putting up webmaster pages because frankly, I can not guess just how any one person will do with any one program. I can point in the right direction of places to try, and tell where not to try, but that’s about it.
And I hate looking like a liar or like somebody more concerned about getting a dollar than I am about what people will think of me, so I just stopped.
I have however begun a page on places not to visit, but I’ve not made it available (its still not linked it to any public pages yet) but plan to do so in the near future.
