On a slightly different note, I was hugely disappointed yesterday to discover that William Hill have amended their ‘instant cash withdrawal’ facility for customers. Previously, any player coud print out a withdrawal slip and go collect the cash from their local William Hil shop.

This was a huge plus for converting them. In fact, given the naff bonuses and not very impressive site layout they’ve had recently, it was one of the only tools I could use for converting them.

Now, I’ve discovered that William Hill will first insist that players withdraw their funds back to the source of deposit and will only issue cash payouts to players who have made cash deposits.

It all gets harder and harder to promote William Hill and there are far better alternatives out there.

^ you must be talking about Will Hill casino because their sportsbook offer has always been a bit laughable

Regarding the merger I read in some press release that I can annoyingly no longer locate that Playtech owned most of Cpays and that this is really a merger between Playtech and William Hill? Is this true? Does Playtech cease to exist as an “independent” software provider.

I don’t think Playtech has ever been independent in any case.

Your observation is quite accurate, although they will probably tell you the opposite and point to their corporate structures to support this.

I am just concerned with what is going to be promoted, under which affiliate program brand and specifically when William Hill will move to the Playtech software (which I assume they will).

As you already know, William Hill and Playtech have teamed up to establish a new joint venture resulting in the new company William Hill Online and its affiliate program: Affiliates United.
The aim of this new program is to provide our affiliates with the very best service and opportunities in the industry:

    • Our Group “Affiliate United” ensures that you will continue to receive lifetime revenue share or CPA’s on all your existing and new players referred, no matter which affiliate program you are with
    • You’ll be able to promote casinos, poker, bingo, sportsbook, games and skill games all using the same affiliate program
    • Our players will be using some of the very best software and systems in the market such as Playtech Casino, I-Poker, Virtue Fusion & Playtech Bingo and the Orbis sports betting platform
    • A true global reach using one affiliate program with a large presence in all major markets except for the USA
    • An affiliate senior management team with some of the very best people from the industry
    • A brand new affiliate management software which we believe will be the best anywhere in the markeT
These changes have already started and we should be fully integrated by the end of 2009.

As we said above, your existing affiliated players and revenue along with any new players will continue to be paid to you in the normal way; so the only changes that you will see are additional services and we hope additional players and revenue that we can both share in.
    Best Regards,
    Affiliates United team

Apparently not yet until it is fully integrated under the new system.

We’re launching Affiliates United the integrated program where eventually you will be able to see all your stats in.

We have launched a playtech stand alone casino and poker until all products are fully integrated.

We expect come end of March for the poker to be fully migrated to ipoker and come the end of Q3 we expect a full migration across the board when all stats for affiliates will be seen in aff utd.

    Best Regards

Merged / Absorbed / Gobbled up into the new program.

We will of course receive a guarantee that all players will be transferred…

Once Affiliates United is launched you’ll be able to see all your previous activity with CPays and Webroute on it.
    CPays will then be closed.

    Best Regards,
    Affiliates United team
