InactiveOverall, I just think there are way too many options for a new visitor. It’s information overload. When I visit a site like that, I usually get overwhelmed and don’t have an idea where I want to go next. Typically I leave the site at that point. I think maybe the yellowish orange color could be a little less obtrusive.
Kind Regards,
Mark

biggygMemberi have a site with 1200 plus pages ,i found since i cleaned off the site links a bit the traffic and conversions are better.(http://www.casinoveritas.com) yes this is AFTER i cleaned it up lol
Also i find the yellow a bit difficult to look at -i think a softer color will be better.April 11, 2008 at 5:45 pm #765470Anonymous
InactiveI hate it because it’s ugly and confusing. :hattip:
Get rid of half of the front page content (or more!) and put it on other, targeted pages.
Give every item space to breathe!
Make it easy for the eye to move directly from item to item.
Eyes like to move to “anchor” spots on the page. Like headlines or images, bold print etc. Use these wisely and don’t have too many and vistors will actually read.

LucretiaMemberI am a newbie but whatever I want to review your site hehe :
-page alignment is left, some people hate this, center your pages ( I have to do this too).
-yellow color is indeed to strong, if you are on this page for over 8 hours you might get a tan.
-if you move over a menu item it is blue the same as the category, not that nice.
-your header banner is small and looking very cheap
-overdone bold text in left and right columns
-left column text banner text banner ?? text does not belong to the banner, some players might get confused.
-use a softbackground instead of white
-grey bar with flags on top does not fit with the other site colors
-menu links at the bottom, use categories to sort them.Hope it helps you a bit!

VdpcevnjMemberWhen re-designing consider what the customer journey will be when they land on any page.
They land on your homepage what information will be important to them on the homepage, make this prominent and easy to find in the first 3 to 5 seconds, when they click one of these pages, can they find what is important on this page within 3 to 5 seconds.
and keep on going

ClubContMemberSince I get to see a lot of different sites from different angles (and to see which ones actually perform well), I would have to say this site is very good and I don’t think there is much to change. Some sites that are dense with info and text do well because it appeals to a certain crowd while turning off others. If you do add more space to make the page less dense I am not sure the effect that will have on that. Because there doesn’t seem to be 1 item left out your viewers might be inclined to scan the entire page to find something that attracts them, which I think is a good and bad thing. Here you could get away with that, or an alternative would be to add one item somewhere on the page that grabs your attention first. If this site is more community based than information based, then perhaps more space would help the site out. Since the site is jackpotfinder I would assume your viewers are looking for some places to play for some big jackpots right away. I would suggest a section listing the top 3 or top 5 places to play for jackpots should be located on the page such that it grabs the attention immediately. Call to action for those people.
I hope any of that helps.

InactiveDo yourself a big favour and don’t touch it.
Listen to the sage advice from the last 2 posts.
If you have rankings the worst thing you can do is toy with your site.
Take all the good advice given and build it into a new site.
PM me if you are keen on a link exchange or something

cheers
