InactiveJust looked at the first set:
Jedes Ding hat seine zwei Seiten.
– LizaDie Axt im Haus erspart den Zimmermann.
– fredThese are proverbs. The first one says: there are two sides to everything, meaning “there are pros and cons for everything”.
The other ones says: An axe in the house makes the carpenter unnecessary – the equivalent of “god helps those who help themselves”.
Why would they post that? I have no idea. Perhaps just bored.

InactiveThe other one has a proverb in English. They all came in near the same time. I have been getting a lot of stuff like this lately from different IP addresses.

InactiveThat is what I was curious about.
Last time I had a strange post…. It was on a particular slot that is now getting spammed many times daily by the same automatic program. Easy to detect, but still a pain. I am getting spammed to my ‘new slot review request’ as well. I think there must be an automated program out there that finds inputboxes on forms and hopes that after spamming them, they end up as copy.

InactiveMaybe they are marking spots to target later?

InactiveCould be. Since they are all just proverbs, I think I will delete them anyway. Sucks to have to delete comments, but I want them to be topical as well.

InactiveWe get them all the time. What we have done is that I have to approve the comments first. At least that way rubbish does not appear on the sites.

InactiveIt was a probe. The slots which had german/english proverbs were spammed last night by:

InactiveI get them signing up at my forum and leave spammy website addies in their User profile, along with odd number combinations.
I have no idea what thats for, but I go in and delete the stuff.
None of these ever post.
