If I remember correctly, it’s number 11 or so.

I’m travelling and can’t look it up right now.

Pokerlistings following by onlinecasinoreports and i’ll probably say online-casinos.com since they have had and still have some nice rankings and have been about a while. Oh and of cause me somewhere, maybe 10th lol

How does them rank so well? Because of the content they provide?

Does the most traffic come from search engine?

I don’t believe that you can accurately say how much money a site is making based just on their traffic. Some sites are getting $150 CPA while others are getting $400+ CPA (for the exact same programs) and then you have those who simply sell advertising space. It’s all about how you negotiate and structure your deals.

How would one negotiate for a $400 CPA?

Would that mostly be based on total traffic to your site (such as showing the program your top search engine rankings for valuable phrases in advance of signing up)?

Or perhaps based on the past history of how many accounts you’re bringing them each month?

Or perhaps how much money the player deposits?

If it’s based on deposit, how much do players have to deposit for you to get a $400 CPA?

If it’s based on past history, can you get $400 CPA even if someone only deposits $50 or something like that?

    Thanks people,

No, of course you can’t tell from this.

No telling where the traffic comes from, how the site runs it’s sales, what quality the players are, etc. It’s purely a traffic report.

While I would not touch CPA if you put a gun to my head, you have to figure that the program will want players that are worth more than that on average over time. When you can meet that criteria, they will pay tou whatever your players are worth. If they fail to perform you will be booted.

What is considered a top rev share deal that a site with primo traffic could get?

That totally depends on the program.

You have to also remember that CPA media buys compromise your freedom to promote the best casinos at the best times. Aside from which, if the casino on a media buy screws up publically, you’re lumbered with carrying them for the duration of the deal.

Like Dom, I have always turned down media buys. Too restrictive and if you can get the traffic a media buy requires, you may as well do Rev Share IMO.

Oh, I do accept some media buys – but flat rate, not CPA. I hate CPA for many reasons. Even when combined with a media buy.

Usually I accept media buys month by month, unless I build something special for them, then it’s more long term.

I am strict and selective in who I accept, and most of the time the flat rate goes until comissions would surpass the flat rate. Then we switch to commissions.

Kind of like a sales person who is on base pay until comissions kick in. It allows me to advertise some places I think have great potential but who haven’t proven themselves with me yet.

Of course such a deal involves a certain level of trust on both sides. Make sure you never accept deals like this when you are not sure you can fulfill your end of the deal. I have seen many people fall out of grace with the casinos because they could not hold up their end of the deal.

Better to stay on commission and wait until you are established enough to know you can deliver on your promises.

Increasingly lately I have seen posts that maintain that this business is not ethical.

    I disagree.

If you are ever going to make it in this business, your business ethics better be impeccable, or you will have neither players to refer nor casinos to work for.

Nope and the list wasn’t stating those were the most profitable sites, I think it ranked them by traffic. Though I question how they could do that as well. Several of those sites listed don’t belong in a top 100 let alone a top 10.
