InactiveGaming Partners does not carry over negative balances.
http://www.kiwicasino.com/adv/howitworks.html
The groups below do carry over negative balances. This is not by any means a complete list.
CWC Affiliates
Mainstreet Affiliates
Bodog
888.com
Cpays
Earn United
Euro PartnersFocal Click – “Negative balances will default to zero at the beginning of the following month in order to give you a fresh start for the month provided you have at least 3 separate distinct and unique players playing for that month.”
WagerShare – “If a player wins more than $10,000 there is carry over on that player only.”

InactiveThanks a lot for the detailed info, Engineer

It seems like it’s getting more and more complicated since with the same program the negative balance is carried over for some accounts while it isn’t carried over for others (Focal Click and WagerShare from your examples).
I also just checked the terms of Cpays:
—
4.6 Negative Carry-over
CPays has a negative carry-over policy, meaning that after the first two months, if your balance is negative, it will be carried over to the following month. However, you can avoid the negative carry-over in one of the following ways:If you are a new affiliate, you can ask in the comment box for a “no negative carry-over account” while signing up.
If you are an existing affiliate, and your balance is NOT negative (0 or positive), you can contact us and ask for a “no negative” carry-over account.
By asking for a no negative carry-over account you are aware that your Revenue Share will be 5% lower than shown in section 4.1 – table A, and that the affiliate commission when having no negative balance carry-over will not be higher than 35%.Please note that this option is available for active affiliates only, CPays reserves the right to cancel the “no negative” carry-over to an affiliate that does not bring any traffic for over 3 months.

So, they have carry-over accounts and no-carry-over accounts as well.I guess the only way to handle this properly is with an option for each program where you can set whether you have a carry-over account or not. And even then it might not be always accurate as your account can change.

InactiveJ.B.
I think the simplest way to do this would be to add a checkbox to the individual programs and leave it up to the affiliates
Checkbox: This program does NOT carry over negative revenue – exclude Negative earnings from calculations (i.e., Negative Money = $0)
There is no easy way for you to make a ruleset for each program especially since Terms and Conditions (along with revenue percentages) do change on occassion.
If you leave this up to us, then we can easily select the checkbox and then the math will be correct.

Inactivekwblue… actually there needs to be more than one option since not all programs have monthly pay periods. For example, if a program has bi-weekly periods, they also reset the stats to zero bi-weekly. Therefore we either need to know the pay periods of all programs (difficult and they can change) or we need to have an option for this as well. And what happens when your account gets changed?
We will put our thinking caps on and try to come up with the best possible solution. It will never be perfect but it should be better than now. This will take some time though as we’re in the process of developing a completely new version of StatsRemote and it will be part of this. With the current version we would need to rewrite a lot of things in the software which doesn’t make much sense as it won’t be used anymore in a few months.

InactiveI knew there would be a couple of ‘checkboxes’ needed, but did not know what else would be involved.
I don’t know of any casino program that pays bi-weekly, but maybe there is one.

InactiveBet 365

I would just like to point out that the ONLY reason we put this in there is to guard against this exact situation that comes up from time to time:
An affiliate has one player in their account, their 1 player wins $10,000 in September, then looses $1,000 in October and that affiliate wants to be paid on that $1,000 loss in October.
We cannot justify paying 35% commission on that $1,000 since the casino is actually down $9,000.
If this player ends up loosing $20K, then the affiliate will be paid on the difference.
I hope that clears it up.
Thanks,

MarkYes, it was already clear….
It is Negative Carryover.
We all understand why you put it in there and what it is. Thats why we dislike it so much. If I have a player who wins 10k then I might as well drop your program because I am just throwing money into a dark hole. I would do much better promoting someone else who does NOT have negative carryover than chasing good money with bad. This is Common sense.September 17, 2007 at 6:22 pm #749019Anonymous
InactiveThanks a lot for the info so far. Are there any others?
