32red is no longer CAP certified. We’re working on a mechanism that will notify all members once a new program either certifies on CAP or is removed/banned from the certification.

Out of interest War, what did they do to lose the certification? Surprises me as they’ve always been great to work with IMO.

    Cheers

Did they decide not to renew their certification, or were they booted? If they decided not to renew, was it because of the recent (and rightfully deserved) criticism of their tracking?

There are nice people at 32Red, and they have always treated players well, but the way they track affiliate referrals is very unfair. (See this thread: http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/bb/is-tracking-working.27150.html?)

Yeah I was wondering the same. Although, actually I don’t mind that method myself……but i guess that’s dealt with in the other thread so won’t derail. Just interested to know if this was the reason (they are not the only accredited casino that tracks this way btw).

    Several reasons for this decision.

32red initially launched their affiliate program under the direction of Lee Simmonds and Kate Blackmore, who were a great bunch to deal with. Both were active on the site and at the conferences, which made resolving issues via CAP much easier. They were also quite attentive to matters such as the tracking that Engineer pointed out.

Since their departure, we’ve had nothing but bad luck with 32red and their marketing team. We’ve attempted to contact them over 30 times within the past few months regarding several issues with no interest in responding.

32red’s new marketing team then went ahead and accused CAP of being unresponsive, which every other CAP certified program knows this to be not the case.

Directly quoted from Mark Quayle, 32red’s Marketing Manager:

“As you probably already know, our marketing team is pretty small at 32Red and we simply do not have the hours to put in to CAP to reap the full rewards, regular posting in the forum, attending conferences etc. I felt that since we were not taking the ‘full package’ then we should look at negotiating the quarterly cost. We also took advice from some of our larger long term affiliates, who, after building a personal relationship with us, said that our CAP certification didn’t affect their decision to promote us.”

We had two issues with this response:

    1. CAP represents affiliates large and small, new and old. With over 6700 members we have to consider the needs of everyone and its appears that 32red has decided to focus their efforts and support on what they consider to be established, larger affiliates only. We don’t feel like that attitude is inclusive of all our community.

    2. We are not a charity and just as any other affiliate, we will only negotiate so much on the service that CAP provides.

So is it that 32red doesn’t value the members that do use our mediums such as the forums and conferences to resolve issues, negotiate new deals, build personal relationships, etc.? Your call.

I have to say that Aaron has been very responsive to me and any of my inquiries on the affiliate side so maybe they should give him a raise and fire the sucky marketing team they have.

I would be regarded as one of the small time affiliates. 1000 small affiliates sending one customer each a month to a program turns out to be good numbers. Why risk losing the small affiliate? :eh:

Well, they have just lost me. Arrogance pisses me off.

To be honest after speaking to 32Red myself, I just don’t think they value the interaction in our community. As War said, they were unresponsive to our request to post and respond to affiliates in this forum. When asked why, their response was that they’re understaffed and didn’t have the man power.

This came down to a decision on both parties to go our separate ways. For us, part of the certification requirement is to be responsive to affiliate questions and concerns as well as be active in our community.

    I agree ixian

As a small affiliate myself, any interaction with an affiliate team is greatly appreciated. If they don’t have the time for me well…….how do they expect me to make time for them.

I guess this thread will help keep other affiliates in line ;)

Being a “small” group does also have advantages though IMO. The way they treat their players is second to none and that should count a lot to affilliates. There may be a trade-off in how affiliates are handled – although I’ve never had a problem with them myself, but if you send players to a casino who have such a good rep, and worth noting that they are always one of the first to pay commissions each month, then that makes good business sense.

I know it’s old ground, but I feel that a lot of affiliates (and this isn’t aimed at anyone here) judge on how the casino treats affiliates when they should worry far more about how a casino treats the player.

Have you ever written Aaron for help yourself, and not gotten a response in a timely manner?

I explained in another thread about a recent incident that I had, and contacted 32Red Affiliates to ask about one of my players. I didn’t feel at all like he didn’t have time for me. Even though I was not actively promoting them, he responded lightening quick, and sent my payment faster then any program has ever gotten cash to me. I was happy with the way I was treated when I contacted them.

I don’t have a problem with Aaron. He has always responded to my queries.

My problem with 32Red is that they seem to view any public criticism of their program as a complete no no. Instead of continuing here on CAP they have decided to withdraw stating that CAP is very labor intensive and other reasons.

Their affiliate stats report page sucks and the method in which they award sign ups seems archaic. Other than that they are tops.

Instead of sulking in the corner they should review their decision to leave CAP.

I don’t think you are being fair to 32red. You must understand that being a member of CAP is not a free venture, there is actually quite a bit of money involved in it. They made a business decision not to renew membership and thats that. I don’t see what all the fuss is about…

This does not effect me either, I will continue to promote and send players to them now that the % issue is fixed. Aaron has always been fast to respond and I think he is awesome and the casino treats the players very good as well.
