InactiveHi, I’m ok.
Still in the biz, still doing ok.
I decided to take some time off any public appearances and deal with the grieving process I am going through after my husband passed away on Christmas.
Grieving after the death of a companion of 26 years is a lot more encompassing than I ever knew. It is totally involuntary, and you have to just go through the steps. If you repress it, it just takes that much longer.
So the minimum grieving period is a year, in that year you learn to go through every aspect of life without your companion. Along the way are a million triggers – sights, sounds, smells, situations, seasons, holidays, and and and. All of these trigger the grieving, and you have to go through each one before your life is not dominated by this anymore.
I never knew this was so complicated, and I wish I had known when my mom lost my dad. I was supportive, but I didn’t really understand what she was going through. Live and learn.
Anyway, the plan is to go through all the steps of grieving without adding any additional stress. So I plan to emerge again in January and take a more active part in the industry again.
My sites are being well taken care of and all is running smoothly there.
It is an extremely interesting year regarding the US laws and I am keeping up to date and staying informed.
I do miss you all, but it’s better this way. Carry on, and be watchful. Don’t let the programs run all over you, we worked too hard for too long to set some industry standards for affiliation.
I drop in from time to time, see you guys around!
