BFPMemberI think I mentioned this in another thread, but August tends to be a slow month in terms of traffic and commission. This might be the case you are seeing some lower traffic. Btw, have you checked the rankings for your keywords?

MissMMemberMy keywords are still the same, so I think you are right about the month being slow. I did not even think of it, how silly of me LOL.
Thanks.

Inactivesee any big changes in your google analytics? August usually starts the move up after summer, so its good to be sure people are actually coming in the same numbers or better from previous months.

Not for European traffic though. Europe pretty much shuts down for the month of August.

disagree (just a bit)
so far and compared to last year, august is one of the best months for me at all (especially within the german market)August 27, 2012 at 8:43 am #827425
MissMMemberWow, I think it had to do something with some ads I had on my website. Google registered over 500 404 pages or something. The banner got listed as a seperate page or something that google could not find.
That sucked big time !
Hope I fixed it now.
Could this be the reason I got so few visitors? If I have so many 404 pages?
August 27, 2012 at 12:52 pm #827428Anonymous
Inactivemost likely not, now did the banner re-direct people somehow, for you to get a 404 error from a banner somthing is not right.
Are you tracking anaytics stats each month?
If you have the old banner code that did the 404 I would like to see it.

MissMMemberGoogle indexed all types of pages like this: http://www.heaven4casinos.com/casino-software/individual-casinos/hawaiian-madness-video-slot-review/www.ukcasino-club.co.uk
They don’t excist.
The banner code I used was:
a href=”www.ukcasino-club.co.uk” onMouseDown=”this.href=’http://www.rewardsafftrack.eu/affiliate/referral.asp?site=ukc&aff_id=aff62448′;” target=”_blank” title=”casino”
img border=”0″ src=”http://www.rewardsaffiliates.com/getbanner/ukc/ukc_125x125_021009_unionjack-en-multi-noshimmer.gif/image.aspx” alt=”casino”
/aAnybody know what’s wrong? (removed the < so it won't turn into a banner).

InactiveWithout it it makes the link relative to the folder/page and causes the 404 errors.

GrandHostMembercheck your website with google webmaster tool…………..
August 29, 2012 at 7:39 pm #827499
MissMMemberThanks for pointing out the http part. I have corrected it. But google webmaster now warns me that I so many 404 pages. I renewed my sitemap in google webmaster and also cleared all messages about 404, telling google it is resolved.
Will this work? Is this going to be very bad for my website? I think the problem was 3 weeks or so?
Love to hear your opinion.

InactiveIts been a while since I used G webmaster tools, I know i had read there were delays with some site performance data – WMT – Site Performance Now Has 12 Day Update Lag Google SEO News and Discussion forum at WebmasterWorld – but that could be something different. It may take some time for the messages to go away is what I am getting at if there is big time delay.
Anyway, I crawled your site and found no broken links anywhere. So you have fixed the problem on your side. Your site was cached today -http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:Video slot reviews Video slot bonuses online slot casinos and casino software
So the only way those 404’s can exist now is if they are from links pointing to you, you have already removed them from your site and fixed the problem. If you still are concerned I would watch for actual 404’s in your server log starting after the fix.
I have had sites hacked, or down for days, or similar, and depending on age/trust/authority factors, most sites were back in G’s good graces in less then 48 hours in my experiences. Have you seen any traffic decrease in the last 3 weeks? big ranking changes? if not I would not worry too much, and good job fixing the problem.
“Is this going to be very bad for my website?”
Unfortunately I can’t say…very bad I don’t think so…I think you fixed the problem and have done all you can do on your side.
