I too remember Benny. In the late 70s they let him play in the Castaways if he promised not to bite anyone. I heard he had been thrown out of many joints for biting the stickman when the dice 7ed out. He would drop to his knees and bite the rail of the crap table. You can imagine what kind of germs live on that rail. Anyway, they would tolerate him until one day he asked the shift boss for a comp to the coffee shop. The boss gave it to him under the name BT Byte. Benny came unglued and caused quite a scene. Never saw him after that.
Thanks for the validation on Benny….He was such a character people think I made him up….but no Benny was the real deal…totally Nutz !
