My only suggestion is to have control of the music volume! Last year we had to shout or lean in like we were going in for a kiss or something. :roflmao:
Everything else was great! Was the event video taped? If not then that would be cool to see.

Well we will definitely work on the sound for next year..We did get highlights of the event that was taped by the Poker Channel. Next year we are considering on getting the whole awards show recorded.. what did you think of the band and music?

Being the ‘party pooper’ I left right after the awards were given so I missed that part.
I’ll be sure to hang out all night long next time so that I catch everyhing. :tongue: hehe

From what I heard it was a blast.. Although I have heard many of the ladies talk about golden boys or something similar. That would be pretty sweet considering I noticed there wasn’t really much of this type of thing geared towards straight women at CAP Euro.
The half naked ladies are great to look at… but I have my own boobs that I can look at anytime.. Lets see some half naked men!
I thought the food was great last year. :thumbsup: The comedian was pretty funny, too.
Tips for next year:
— Make it free for everyone.
— Allow people to hang out longer after the dinner is over. Last year, they kicked everyone out an hour or so after the awards ended.
— Have a free shuttle, like the Paddy Wagon in Barcelona. That was a great idea.
Less volume of sound, more time after dinner and rides would be great.
Eventhough there was a discount, i don’t know that i would have come out last if not invited by the folks at CWC. It was great fun and i would probably pay this time having enjoyed the first one.
These are great tips – Few things of feedback on them so far
GamTrack – That band was soooo loud for me and I was 5 tables away whilst they were literally beside your table – I can’t believe you could hear at all
Staying after awards – We have secured the venue till 1am this time – Unfortunately at these kinds of venues it is hard to get later
Free Shuttle – We are doing it this time
naked boys – I have told the sponsor that they should mix it up a little bit this time to please the growing number of ladies (and Martyn) should they go with painted people again and I think they have listened…..
Free for everyone – I really wish we could do this but the event costs sooooo much money – For example before you take into account all the extra costs such as AV, effects, pre cockatail party, awards, commedian, marketing etc etc a per head cost from the venue is £130 so we actually lose money for each affiliate ticket we sell immediately and hope that the non affiliate table purchases and sponsorships equal it out at the end – TBH our aim is not to make money on the awards so if it happended that they suddenly turned a profit we would just plough it back into the event and buy extr stuff like a clown :wink-wink

And yes, Martyn was the person who wouldn’t shut up about the naked boys… He also has his own boobs to look at whenever he wants :tongue:
It seems like you have it all planned good for this yr as well, any event you guys put together is awesome! I was very impressed with the dinner in 08 and looking forward to the 09 as well:hattip:

Regards the band I know a very good band if you want a number, let me know (and its not the newly forming CAP band). However, why do I not rememeber that there was a band last year? :rockband::drunk2:
Oh the magician was also very good, should hire a couple of them next time as not everybody saw him.

If I read correctly, it was Alex who started this…
I just made a suggestion for naked men…Alex maybe you can strip Martyn off and paint him gold.. I’ve heard he doesn’t mind the old cross dress.. and he is MUCH better at juggling balls than I am..
