InactiveYou are right, it loads very slowly, but I cannot see anything strange in the code.
I am no expert, but I am thinking something with javascript for external sources – or try to disable all you plugins and enabling them one by one, if you haven’t tried that.

InactiveMight be that the shared hosting your using has to many sites on the same server.. They might have added a few extra in the last few days

InactiveIt could also be one of your banners trying to load.
I notice wintingo does not even come up – try copying the banner image to your site and serving it yourself if you really want that specific one.

InactiveIm running a waterfall test on objects, we can then see where the problem is. Can you make a simple page that just says “hello world”?
this will tell us a lot as well.

Inactiveok,
waterfall view says you have issues lol, 23 seconds for the FIRST BYTE.
Then your loking good on all element coming over at normal speeds, about 4 seconds for the entire page to be processed.
Here is what you need to check.
All programming codes, loops, SQL query
DId you make any changes to the site? Plugin, tracker or anything simple?
If you want I can look closer if we are on at the same time, but as I stated above you need to make a tst page or two.

MissMMemberHi all,
Thanks so much for all the help. It has to do with my hosting, is was shared and I have upgraded it, now it loads good. I also hosted the banner on my own server like some suggested. I think the problems are now solved.
Again, thanks for responding so fast.

yes its better to serve banners locally than hot linking to them.
As an fyi, There is a built-in ping function, in XP pro anyway.
Get to a Command prompt and type ping for usage.April 17, 2012 at 7:20 pm #823622Anonymous
InactiveI know all is well with your site now, but just wanted to say I like the way you have it laid out. It’s a cool looking website.
