Inactiveyes, they will bring you traffic. :roflmao:November 12, 2005 at 9:53 am #676278Anonymous
InactiveDepends on the type of player IMHO. If you want newbies then the above is probably fine. If you want experienced players (my target) then honesty and information they can’t get elsewhere i believe to be the key.
Cheers

InactiveSimmo is right, I think it depends on your target market.
If you are after newbie and bonus hunter players then emphasize the free and bonus terms/banners/content on your site.I am targeting experienced players so that’s why I try to avoid any “free” context on my site and write content about strategy, reviews, guides etc. I think bonus hunters can make harm to the casino (and so for me because I am on revshare everywhere), so someone always lose in such a situation.
Just my 2 cents..

InactiveThey also want to be entertained in anyway you can like free games and stuff.
All if it breaks down to the type of person and where you are advertising I think. In general, clean content thats easy to surf and look at as well as not over saturating your front page with just advertisements. A nice layout of the site is good but mainly they are looking for what they came for and if they came for “Poker bonuses” then by god you better have that on the page somewhere hahahaNovember 14, 2005 at 1:53 am #676344Anonymous
InactiveYes. I agree guys. All I can say is, have everything in your
website so you can get the most traffic,
out of your site that is. :cheers:November 14, 2005 at 12:52 pm #676355Anonymous
InactiveBonus hunters are harmful to casino, that is why Danish players, and Chinese players are required to wager a terrible amount before cash in.
For me, I hate to attract so-damned bonus hunters to my sites, as I am at rev-share model.
Here I self-promote my casino portal “Casino Poster“. Hope guys give me some advices in doing better.
Thanks.

InactiveIMHO – too many banners. It always puts me off sites that have flashing banners scattered across the main page. I could be wrong in other peoples opinions tho. I’ve tried to stay away from the banners until I need them – i.e. describing a site and reviewing. have a look http://www.iwantfreemoney.co.uk – the content is being updated but ive spent a fair bit of time changing my layouts. . .

InactiveFind a niche area of the industry or something you are passionate about and write as much unique content as possible. Keep your information honest and forthright and visitors will appreciate what you have to say and probably come back for more. If you are in it for the long-haul, this will be the best way to build a site that people can trust and utilize as a resource over and over again.
If you are in it for the short term then you may want to consider going after the freebies and bonus chasers. Just know that those people are much less likely to become loyal players on whatever site you send them too, so their long-term profitability is limited.
