Do affiliates see a major change in goverment policy towards online gambling now that the Democrats are back in power?
Or is it going to stay pretty much the same as it is now with no major shifts for or against?I’m not sure what will happen, but I do know that Obama is very open to listening to the people. I worked on his campaign and he emailed us to thank us AND he also said the following so when he contacts me then I’ll be contacting him about online gambling.

We have a lot of work to do to get our country back on track, and I’ll be in touch soon about what comes next.

sofdawgMemberI’d like to think so, but from the sounds of the very lofty speech he delivered, I think he’s got some significantly bigger goals to work toward and hefty promises to keep. Let’s keep our fingers crossed though.

We have to do more than cross our fingers! The people showed the world that WE make the decisions and can CHANGE what we want. :wink-wink
Do not be skeptical just yet. Give the man a chance to show you what he will do.
I for one am tired of hearing folks complain about what they want to see done without offering solutions.

LassoMemberHere is what Barney Frank told Jenny Woo last week before the election:
JENNY: Do the odds increase with an Obama administration?
CONGRESSMAN FRANK: Yes, that would be much better with more Democrats. Much more support. I also think with the Obama administration you wouldn’t see these bad regulations. But what the Bush people try to do is to get this one done very hastily and with little preparation so it’s in place when the Obama administration takes over. But clearly we have more support opposing (these attempts to stop regulation) with more Democrats in Congress. I wish it weren’t an issue but the Republicans have made it one.

InactiveIMHO, it’s early to speak about it, the first thing Democrats must do is to clean the Bush’s global garbage (if that is possible). :wink-wink
