Nobody has any thoughts on this?
I haven’t tested extensively, but so far it appears I have best luck sending at 4pm EST. I haven’t narrowed it down to best days yet.
Anybody else have working theories?
I always prefer that mailings go out Tuesday – Thursday.
Monday is not good because open rates are at their lowest. People have tons of email in their inbox and delete everything that even remotely looks like a sales offer. They also tend to be cranky on mondays.
Friday tends to find people distracted and eager to get done with things and out partying. They are less receptive to offers and even if they open email they are heading out and away from their computers so they dont play.
These are my observations. Other affiliates may have wildly different ideas and experiences.
I’ve often wondered this myself. I’ve often sent them out on Friday – simply because w/ends are my most profitable days.
It sometimes also helps to have an e-mail waiting for them when they get home from the pub after a few drinks
We do the Tuesday and Wednesday sendouts for the reasons The Professor mentioned above. I like to get them out before 5pm PST.
