It is impossible to get negative revenue from the blackjack games at Party. Party Poker stated that since so many affiliates were worried about getting their poker rake wiped out from blackjack winners, they implemented a new method to calculate affiliate commission. Here is a brief summary of how they calculate it:

Per Party Poker, the house edge for their Blackjack Game is 1%. That means if every player plays basic blackjack strategy perfectly, Party Poker stands to make a 1 dollar profit per 100 dollars wagered. Out of that 1 dollar profit, the affiliate gets 20%, or 20 cents. That means for every 100 dollars your players wager, you make 20 cents…regardless if they win or lose the wager. This way there is never any negative revenue. I do not agree with this model because most players do not play perfect strategy. I think affiliates would make a lot more money if they were getting 20% of the net losses.

I think everyone who is a PartyPoker affiliate should lobby for the option to able to choose the current method or a percentage of the net losses.

    JAN – OCT: ($) average + xxxx.xx
    NOV: MGR ($) -3219.67
    DEC: MGR ($) -2267.33

The last 2 years running I have also averaged 4 figures a month in the positive! Never have I had a negative or anything clsoe to it.

I truly think that there is something more going on here. IMO they needed to turn that stock # around in a hurry after this summers fall off!
They either have a major stats issue, or are shaving to beat hell and their failure to respond to inquiries on this board and others leaves me
    seriously wondering.

I am with most here; Party Poker is coming off my sites, but who do we replace them with?

I dont market for party poker, however if if what acesup says is true then there should be no reason your accounts ever go negative. I do understand that bonuses may cause your commissions to go backwards a little bit, however with the kind of volume you do I find it real hard to believe that there were that many bonuses given. Bonuses are relative to your commissions, people need to play to earn rake points to hit the bonus, and with that play comes commissions for you. I dont know your numbers but I know your a veteran and they are high, and I just cant see the amount of bonuses given hurting you enough to negate all the commissions earned from your regular players that arent getting any bonuses. I believe you have some money coming to you and I am sure you will give it the needed attention. Good luck.

I’ve been been exceeding 4 figures with party poker for over 2 years. My commissions are up about 50% since the launch of blackjack and side bets.

My poker rake is pretty constant, recently growing a 2% a month (if i send players), with my new players helping replace lapsing players. so, the “gambling”/non-rake portion is 85-90% of the gain.

I think in the long run, it may hurt, taking away average players who have lost their stake gambling.

BTW – i’ve received huge (high 4 figures) chargebacks in the 2-3 months before the addition of the casino games. So, maybe people’s negatives have something to do with the negatives?

Seems as if a lot of people have been experiencing expensive chargebacks lately.

    What’s up with that?

I’ve never made that much with PP, but now I am making next to nothing.

had the opposite happen this month at poker.com. An increase of about 6-7times the usual, and I assumed it was from someone losing at blackjack. But since a poster said their blackjack is not real money yet I don’t know what to think.

My opinion is I like that blackjack is offered, as a lot of poker players like to play it also. Since it is a casino game (affiliates get % of losses), in the short term you may lose, but in the long run you’ll come out ahead. It is sickening to see it wipe out your stable poker profits, but in the months that you come out ahead, you can more than make up for it. Maybe for those that want to promote poker alone some of these affiliate programs can give them the option of opting out of the other games. I don’t know if that is doable or not though stats wise. If not, just like with the casinos, if you keep getting wiped out by consistent winners then it is time to give other rooms more exposure and ditch the other. No sense in pouring money down the toilet. Or just promote poker rooms that do not offer the other games. Are there any left?

I no longer promote Party. Poker.com is one of the newer rooms I tested and am glad I did.
