Can you also tell me if you are aware of a good place to recruit poker, casino and sportsbook affiliates for our program? I don’t want to mention the name here but in case i get in trouble with my first post but we are one of the UK’s top 4 bookmakers who are looking to explode online, if you might be interested please PM and I will respond.

:D This is pretty much the prime spot for recruiting, although we do like to see you have a forum so we know you are stable, and you are interested in establishing an ongoing relationship with your affiliates, including being available to answer questions.

    Hi Dominique,

Sorry I missed your speech on Black Hat SEO at CAC. I will go in and read about it at your site.

As to your money’s worth from the Conference .. I agree with everyone else here .. wonderful networking opportunities .. GREAT people .. REALLY good food !

Actually, what I find most helpful is that after attending .. hearing all the speeches .. talking to others in the industry, etc., I come away feeling really inspired and motivated.

The creative juices start surging through my brain and I get all sorts of things done ! As a result I always see an increase in my income.

So my advice to those who wonder whether or not it is worth it ..

If you are making $2000 a month now .. after attending the conference you will begin making $3000 a month and then $4000.

By the time you attend the next conference you will come away even more inspired, and with more knowledge, and your income will see another increase to $5000 and then $6000.

Those in the industry who are making the BIG bucks didn’t start out at that level .. but it is certainly attainable ! However, to reach that level takes some time and a lot of knowledge.

You can easily increase your knowledge as much as you want by constantly reading stuff on the Internet .. in the forums, etc.

But, by attending conferences you can gain more knowledge in a couple of days than you can in reading all the stuff in the forums for several months.

PLUS, you make new friends and have a really nice time! .. :1Dialog:

So get out your Visa card and attend the next conference! I guarantee you will be able to pay off your Visa charges in no time with all you new found knowledge.

    ..

While I’d normally be keen on a Euro or US conference, I’ve got a month long trip to Germany for WC2006 planned in June/July 06 …
    :happydanc

So both the next two Amersterdam in April 06 , and LV in Sept 06 do not really suit. So will be 2007 before I get to a CAC …
    :huh2:

Any thoughts to an Asian/Oceania conference? Anywhere in the region would be worth a hop on a plane for me …

Since I’m new to all this fun stuff and this was my first CAC event I was quiet sitting in the back but I learned so much and met such good contacts that it was worth it. I plan in attending next year and I’ll be more vocal and contribute more! The food and events were amazing. The poker.com pre-event party at the V-club was very nice! :capmiami:

    Dominique,

Thanks for the reply, to let you know I work for a company called Betfred (http://www.betfred.com) Our own internal affiliate program has been running now for a couple of months but we have not been pushing it until all the bugs have been killed off. However, we have been contacted directly from affiliates which we have guided to our program and all seems to be well with some great results coming from it. In the next couple of weeks we are launching on 2 or 3 networks as well as pushing our own so get in touch if you want to know more.

We have 2 affiliate managers available to answer any questions that you might have and are willing to do so at any time. I personally believe in establishing long term relationships with my affiliates as these are the people that make it happen for us, if we treat you (the affiliate) right and keep you happy then you tend to work harder for us and everyone is a winner!

We are here for the long haul not just for the time being and as this is a new role for me I want to do as much as possible for the program and the affilates as I understand I have to be proactive.

Unfortunately, we do not have a forum. Maybe this is something I can suggest to see if it can be put in place but I will be actively involved on this forum and others as well as attending as many of the conventions as I can.

We are currently in the process of redesigning the affiliate sign up pages of our site as I do not feel the current pages fully represent and convey the information I and you would wish for. If you are interested in knowing more information or would like to sign up to our program I would love to hear from you. You can contact me any time and I will respond as soon as I can.

For the moment the Poker and Casino aspects are now live with the sportsbook following suit within the next 2 weeks.

Sorry for the ramble but I wanted answer all your questions and provide soe info at the same time.

Thanks for listening and hope we can work together soon.

    Regards,

    Martyn

P.S. I found your Black Hat talk very informative at the CAC and 30 minutes was a little too short for some of the topics. :colgate:

I was just trying to give an overview but 30 mins was much too short for that too. I hope to have a more complete version on my site soon.

This is where you go regarding a forum:

    http://www.casinoaffiliateprograms.com/certification/index.php

This one message is ok, but soliciting affiliates without joining is not fair to the programs who did join.

Your programs sounds interesting and listening to affiliates should help you avoid some pitfalls. :)
