In the upcoming issue of APCWPerspectives, we focus on the Washington State gambling ban and the proposed legislation in the US Congress. One point repeatedly argued by Rep Bob Goodlatte and Sen Jon Kyl is that online gaming is used to launder money for terrorist activity and organized crime, despite the fact that a study by the American Gaming Association found exactly the opposite.

In our article we emphasis this point, and the fact that attempting to launder monies online is much more difficult than it would be at land based casinos, as every transaction online leaves a “detailed electronic fingerprint”. This article from the Sydney Times seems to back up these findings.

The theory of the online gambling and money laundry + terrorism has a very inconsistent base.

They think that if an ilegal group is in charge of an offshore online casino, could be very easy for the supporters to send money using the masquerade of electronic bets.
But as stated above, there are banks and financial institutions involved to reach those offshore accounts. It is not so easy.

In addition I think that the offshore heavens are deeply involved to preserve a multibillion legal industry.

We don’t buy that crap and neither do they. Nor is it about morality or the corruption of society as they would have us believe. Its just a thin veil to disguise their own interest/greed in keeping their states gambling money from leaving the state. Same BS Washington state is pulling. Making it a felony to gamble online to protect us from ourselves when its all about lobbying and state gambling money. Typical :bullshit: for brains politicians. Never seeing the bigger picture of receiving billions in tax dollars buy legalizing it and regulating it.

Quotes from the upcoming issue of APCWPerspectives:

US Rep. Bob Goodlatte is such a hypocrite that, while he has gathered support from the Southern Baptists Convention and the Christian Coalition, he has also been accepting campaign contributions from The National Thoroughbred Racing Association.”

Washington State Senator Margarita Prentice is such a hypocrite that, while she was the primary force behind the state ban on internet gambling, she has taken over $712,000 in campaign contributions from Tribal Gaming interests and casinos in Washington.

In fact, all by herself Senator Prentice has received 25% of all the cash donated from Indian Gaming while she’s been in office… 40% of which just came in the two years leading up to her pushing the online gaming legislation.”

Gambling is bad unless you get a cut. And the excuse of terrorism for everything is becoming lame… if you regulate it, you know which ones are from terrorists. Pitty that some of those companies are even on Europe stock exchanges. Damn, you european stock companies!
    :stirpot:

That talk really make me sick. So many BS excuses… and I believe in Santa too!
