Wayne I am praying for your fast recovery and for you loss. This is so sad to hear I am at a loss of words.
Hi All
We are blown away by the heartfelt wishes from this forum for our friend Wayne.
There was another guy from Fortune Lounge involved but unfortunately he did not make it.
Wayne is in a coma at the moment and we are praying for him to recover.In a situation like this there is very little that we as a community to do other than pray.
It sometimes feels like prayers are not enough but do not underestimate the power of prayer.
If we each spend some time of our day praying for Wayne with everything we have, this will be our best chance of helping Wayne.
G-d listens to prayer and enough of us praying could be enough.We’ll let you know if we hear any change.
In the meantime thank you for your thoughts and prayers.

My goodness, this is terrible.
Events like this make me realize how most of my “worries” are petty, and how lucky I am to get to worry about them at all.
The thought, prayers, and best wishes of my family and myself go out to Wayne, the friends and family of the gentleman who did not survive, and all of you good people at Fortune.
Very sad news.
Our thoughts are with Wayne, his family, friends, and the FA team, as well as with the family and friends of the fortune lounge person who didnt make it.

if there is a fund set up for the family that has lost a loved one, and/or for Wayne’s benefit; it would be a good idea to post the info here.
I just heard some good news, Wayne is opening his eyes when his name is called. He is still on a respirator but this is a step in the right direction.
C’mon Wayne, you can pull through this!!!!!!!

Wayne is indeed improving.
He is still serious but stable.
He does open his eyes when his name is called so that is positive!
They are waiting for swelling to go down and assess if there is any damage.
Thank you all for your prayers and thoughts!!!In terms of a fund there is nothing at the moment.
Fortune Lounge is very good to employees and this will probably not be necessary.
Wayne’s needs at the moment are medical rather than financial and he is covered by medical insurance.
A suggestion that has been made is maybe to donate to a charity in the name of the deceased Fortune Lounge employeee and in Wayne’s name.
This would be something special and as a direct result of the accident (Good arising from bad).Either way I’ll keep you posted on all fronts.
Please let me know what you think about rather donating money in their names.Thanks.

They operated on his arm, a broken bone was pushing into a nerve.
He is improving though, he is conscious but heavily sedated. He can move his hands and toes which is great!Hi there,
I wanted to give you all an update on Wayne’s condition.
Wayne is at home while still undergoing rehabilitation sessions. His memory has improved quite a lot; he recognizes people and remembers their names.
Besides the reconstruction of his arm that will still require a few operations, his therapy mainly focuses on the damage caused to the frontal lobe of his brain. It is still difficult for the doctors to give an indication as to whether or not he will recover fully, or the time that this may take but they are very happy with his progress to date and his family stays hopeful.
Please keep praying for him, I know that this has helped a lot!
