Here is a mailing list scammer…
In June he approached me with the details below, when I didn’t use his contact info but called the number listed on ProAdvertisement.com it was some kind of textile or clothing site:

This is the reason negotiating first time advertising deals have become such a tiring exercise.
Here’s one of Matt’s other associates

I met Brandon Rosen at affiliate summit in Jan 2006… At the time he worked for another big company. The name loses me at this time but when I remember it ill post it here…
EDIT
Found it. CPA Universe. He was the Vice President apparently. Perhaps another scam. The whole time we were in Vegas he was hanging with the guys from XY7.com though so you may be able to get some info from them too…
Cheers

Brandon Rosen, Matt and Ryan’s boss, contacted me to try resolve this matter.
He claims that ProAds was a multi faceted company running both textiles, printing and marketing and that Paradise Coast took over the email marekting side from Pro Ads and that in this ‘merger’ Matt moved over to his team.
My deal apparently got lost in that cross over, he offered 2 options:
1. He would refund my lost buy amount
2. He would run a campaign for meI’ve opted to run a campaign with him as a make good for the following reasons:
1. Cash refunds prove nothing of their business practices
2. I want to be able to give them the thumbs up only once I know they’re legit
3. My campaign will be tagged with an aff id I’ll make public here to allow the ‘cleaness’ of their mailings to be trackedBoth Renee and I advised Brandon to post on CAP and interact with Acc Managers and affiliates but he declined.
I would love your thoughts on this and will post more information as it comes.
One plus in their favor is that they made contact – something most never bother to do.

November 17, 2007 at 1:16 am #754233AnonymousGuestHi all (Shane),
great name btw:
anyway …. I applaud your efforts.
that said .. I find it funny an ad agency is not jumping at the bit to come join a forum where they can gain much business.
just very curious. don’t you think? most times you practically have to run these types of companies out of here ….. and here’s one that doesn’t accept an invitation. they either are so busy they don’t need the exposure …. or under-employed …. or i’d be a bit worried.
but agree … at least they addressed your issues and that’s a good start.
good luck with it all.

Kind of strange they would now ask you to be their spokesperson.
