InactiveThanks for the warning,
the best remedy is regular links verification :fencing: . From 10 to 30% of link partners deleting links immediately or in a couple of weeks.February 19, 2006 at 6:08 pm #683967Anonymous
InactiveI agree bonus map, but how does one have time to check all our incoming links?? I’d rather spend my time developing content. What’s your solution?

InactiveMy advice is to only trade links with webmasters that you know are honest. And there are a dozen or maybe couple dozen of them (that I know of). Most link requests I get are deleted because I do not know who the webmaster is or it is obvious they are up to no good.
Try to attend as many industry conventions as possible. You will begin to meet the honest webmasters at the conventions (the dishonest ones usually do not show their faces).

InactiveI agree honesty is hard to come by in this industry. I had a few bad experiences with cross-linking. I check once a week using a automated program. greek39

What’s your solution? This is my solution for managing ALL of my incoming links to my site. I set up my list of links (copy/paste from my database into a .txt file) then follow the instructions to add a group.
I have it set up to email me every Monday morning. It emails me and tells me if any of my links have been removed from the link/page that I specified it was on.
It also emails me to let me know if the page MY link is on, changes in PR as well. The stats for all my incoming links, tells me the PR of each page one of my links is on, the # of links on THAT page, and the # of links total on the site. Awesome software, however it took a little figuring out on how to use it (a little confusing at first), but WELL worth it. I spend less than 15 mnutes monday morning managing my links now.
Make sure if you use this tool, use the FULL BLOWN VERSION, not just the one-link-checker. Sign up for the free account and take the time to read all of the help section and instructions. Everythings free as well! EVEN BETTER!
EDIT: Just got my report this morning…this is what I get in my email box: (2 more bad links to delete)
