bobkogonMemberSame here. All the .com and .net gambling domains are “unsafe”. The .it domaind instead are ok.

I thinking about doing a DMCA given this site is using my copyrighted material without my permission, do you think this would work?
Where are they using your material? I don’t think it will work.

From a legal stand point, anyone (or site) who scraps a site or in my case an excerpt of my contextual on page content etc etc and uses this information is infringing copyright held on that content.
It’s my choice whether I allow XYZ to use that copyright material or not.
In this case I want it removed. I’ve already spoken to softlayer.com (their hosting provider) and they told me to submit a DMCA.
Funnily enough, the 1’st recommended site (compared to the my site listed as “unsafe”) is also one of my domains. In this instance, the site has clearly scrapped the first paragraph of my contextual content and is using it on site without permission.
I’m going to submit DMCA’s for all my sites. Personally I suggest others do the same.

Darpan.bMemberIf I visit hxxp://topalternate.com/casinoaffiliateprogram.com for example. I can only see the url of CAP and the title.
What content do they scrape from your website?

A few people are getting lost in transit here. So, lets use Google images as an example.
Just because photos, drawings, images etc etc are accessible via Google that doesn’t automatically grant anyone the legal right to use them. Albeit some are public domain, meaning anyone can use them. However most carry a copyright.
It’s the same rules with a web-site.
In relation to this thread, it’s my legal right as a copyright holder to revoke usage. Exactly what the DMCA laws were established to protect – unlawful usages of copyright material.

Darpan.bMemberI understand what you mean by the copyright material.
But except from the title I don’t see any content from CAP on the topalternate.com website.

Well the site hasn’t suggestion other sites for them, yet.
In my case, it lists a warning about the site and then places another of my sites in it’s first place recommendation. In the entry it has scrapped a good paragraph of my on page text.
Enter the same recommended site to the topalternate.com “/” and it then also gives this site a Warning listing. The only way to change the listings is to sign-up. That’s extortion!
Forcing someone to do something doesn’t always have to involve cash.
