Thank you for that, Professor.
I think CAP has accomplished all of the above so far.
I very much agree with the notion that flaming has no place in a business oriented community.
We are here to share ways to make things better for ourselves.
And I definitely agree that managers are part of the community, that is why we have all these public posts, so everyone can participate.
Problem solving is the most worthwhile objective for a board such as this. In order to do that, we need access to managers, and they need access to us. Each party must be able to state their opinions freely and without abusing the other party. We want things to be better, not worse.
Attacking one another is also non productive, and like the professor said, there are places online where that is encouraged. If you feel like you’ve just got to tear someoone else apart, do it there.
Great post, Professor, and great board. And guys, you make a super community.
I enjoy the comfort of feeling safe and respected when I voice my opinions here at CAP and I appreciate that very much – and like Dominique said (Probably because we’ve both been there) there are defiantely places on the net you can tear people apart, but that’s not what CAP is about
