We’ll be replacing the old affiliate tracking and reporting software with new state-of-the-art system and would like hear from our CAP member affiliates what features they think are important to have in an affiliate program.
It would be great to have your input and thoughts from the affiliate’s perspective so that we may then implement those ideas.
Much appreciated
Regards

HenryHi Henry,I would like to see the “referring URL” in the stats. Wager Share (another Microgaming program) already does this (as do several other non-MG programs), and I find it very useful. Knowing where a depositing player came from is helpful because it tells me exactly which pages are converting. If I am doing something “right” on a particular page, I can perhaps use that same technique elsewhere to bring in even more players….
I assume that the new system will include all of the old data? i.e. will we still be able to view the information regarding number of clicks, deposits, etc. from 6 months ago? If not, please let me know so that I can go and grab the information for my records before it is taken down.
I also assume that you will be successfully migrating all of our players over to the new system. I would hate to have any of my players get “lost” when the information is transferred.
Lastly, I want to say that I like the current setup where you show what happens (income-wise) each and every day. I don’t care much for “cumulative” reports, where you have no idea what you made on a given day of the month. I’d much rather see a table where I can look at the daily income. Casino Rewards is another MG program that does it this way.
July 17, 2006 at 1:56 pm #698936AnonymousInactiveHey Henry, great to see you guys moving forward on improvements. I agree with the other suggestions on tracking.
my suggestion is that we be able to add tracking codes, without pre-registering. Brightshare’s system, allows us to add alphanumeric code to any valid link (right after the affiliate code) and it will report that link.
so http://www.casino.com/tracking.asp?AFF=99999
i could add “LOTTOTOP” to it.
like: http://www.casino.com/tracking.asp?AFF=99999LOTTOTOP
that makes my life simple, because i can add trackers on the fly.
July 17, 2006 at 3:45 pm #698946AnonymousInactiveI would like banners that rotate all the casinos.
July 17, 2006 at 4:51 pm #698969AnonymousInactiveI like the ideas of AmCan and Engineer…
Referring URLs
Easy to create campaigns by just adding to the banner codes
Daily Earnings Summary:Nod:
July 17, 2006 at 5:30 pm #698974AnonymousInactiveThanks for the great ideas.
The program has campaign IDs built-in. Once you login you will be able to create as many campaigns as you like plus give them unique campaign names for indentification. This way in the report you will be able to see the campaign ID names like ‘mysite123’. So an affiliate with multiple sites will be able to track all sites via one account.
Actual referring URLs is a good idea and will look at implementing that into the system.
All players will be migrated. In regards to the data how many months would you like to see the data backdated? Or would it be ok to login to the old program to see historical stats?
Cheers

That said, it might be convenient to have one year of data transported over to the new system if it isn’t too much trouble. One thing I forgot to mention, which is probably a no-brainer — I wanted to see if the subaffiliate tracking would be carried over to the new system as well. I signed up under someone at CAP, and I’d like for him to remain connected to me.
