    Hi Kamiel

Rival seems to be creating tremendous confusion amongst affiliates or at least with me.

How could this customer be paid out for a progressive jackpot when he was playing a no deposit bonus?

A few weeks ago another Rival casino did not pay out the progressive jackpot due the fact the the customer was using a “free chip” which, in my eyes at least, is the same as a no deposit bonus.

    WTF :exclamati

    Hi Ixian,

I think that the main point to remember is that each casino is a seperate operation, not run by Rival. Although all Rival casinos use the same software provider, each casino sets its own terms on promotions, and as such, handle resulting wins from these promotions differently.

The “free chip” offer, used by Jeff G. who won the progressive jackpot at Vegas Sky Casino, did not have a maximum withdrawal limitation to it, nor were progressive slots exempt from the allowed games he could play on. Hence, the progressive win was regarded as valid.

If I understand correctly, the other casino in question denied the progressive win based on that they had a maximum allowed withdrawal in place on the promotion, and hence the player not being paid. Where Rival has come into the picture is that the decision was made on their side to re-allocate the denied progressive win back to the slot machine.

I hope this clarifies this issue. If you have any other questions, please feel free to let me know.

    Kind regards,
