Yes, we certainly need quality partners. Armed with information, such as the fact that “The licensees were advised by Microgaming that they did not want the list published”, makes it easier to be patient while waiting for news.

Dominique: Insisting that partners are upfront with us is in no way “flaming”, nor is it “egging on”.

I understand that Vegas Partners, as well as other Microgaming licensees, will make a statement as soon as they know what’s happening.

That comment had nothing to do with partners being upfront.

They dont want to publish the list? Are they going to publish it on their own sites? How about in their terms and conditions?

Are we as affiliates not supposed to tell our players that if you live in states XYZ you can’t not play here, here, and here or are we just supposed to send them traffic and lose it? Sorry, but that makes zero sense to me. I as an affiliate would want that information displayed to all my potential players.

I am optimistic that the correct dialog was that they didnt want the list published yet; but will release it soon.

Guys I am simply passing on what has been told me. I dont necessarily understand Microgamings reasoning for not wanting the list of states published. But as I stated I appreciate the fact that they ARE making an effort to continue to accept as much business from US players as they feel is legally expediant to do. Thats more then the “cut and run” approach employed by other providers.

I am also more then a little frustrated with the tone of a lot of the posts being made by same affiliates over and over who consistently feel that virtually every program is crooked or out to screw them or that there is a hdden agenda or conspiracy in EVERYTHING that happens.

I know everyone does NOT earn the same amount of money with affiliate marketing, but in the case of hundreds of us we earn an AMAZING living with what we do.

I earn FAR more working with these programs then I did as an Electrical Engineer. This business literally changed my life. It pays for my homes, it pays for my cars, it sends my kids to the best schools, it allows me to go on cruises several times a year, it lets me take my family fishing whenever we feel like going. In short Casinos have been VERY good to me. I know that affiliate marketing has done the same for hundreds of you that visit CAP. It’s a great business. But none of this would be possible without the casinos we partner with.

I know many of you dont share the same affection for them that I do, but for god sakes if you REALLY hate the operators so much and are SO positive that the ONLY thing they do is lay awake nights scheming how to steal from you then why do you stay in this business? You MUST be earning money you wouldnt bother, right?

Please try to remember these casinos are YOUR PARTNERS. They WISH they could take players from everywhere. Do you really think it makes Referback or Vegas Partners HAPPY to turn away business from residents of ANY US state? They WANT to see as much deposits as is humanly possible. They are in this business to earn money just like you or I.

Some people get so crazy sometimes with these conspiracy theories that it borders on lunacy. I see posts like “Oh the companies dont mind losing 6 BILLION dollars in market value, they will earn that back when they steal our handful of players!” Or “Oh this is all done so that people can buy the stocks at a fraction of their value then the laws will be repealed and they will earn billions!” Do you REALLY think that we will repeal the Port Security Act, a bill designed to combat terrorism so that Harrahs can open up online casinos?

I know I am ranting now, but I really get tired of people beating the shit out the partners that have paid them MILLIONS of dollars in commissions over the past years. Its more then just biting the hand that has fed you its ripping the arm off too. Please lets give it a rest with the conspiracy theories and go back to discussing how to EARN more money together. Please…

Professor I 100% share your sentiments. I gave up another career too. I trust many of the programs and have dealt with them for long enough to know that I can.

I think your post refers to me and I accept that. No offense intended. I canlt see how my post implied every program but let’s leave it at that.

My post was totally in jest. Maybe its a difference in humor thing.

These are dark times. Lets all keep our sense of humor intact. Its’ about all we have left :)

Apologies if I offended anyone, Frist excluded. :)

Any idea if and when Microgaming plan to make a statement?

    Hi Everyone,

I just want to clear things up.

We are still accepting US players and no, we are not saying this just because we don’t want you to remove our links. However, we will have to block certain states should this be signed into law.

At this stage we are still not aware of when this is going to happen, how many states will be affected or which states will be affected.

We will continue to keep you informed by way of our newsletter.

Please feel free to contact me should you have any queries.

    Regards,
