Speaking from a UK perspective, there are some subtle differences in niche terms used I find. For example, I pick up more UK users on the phrase “gambling” than “casino”. Largely the UK public are well behind and don’t have the “Vegas” mentality. We grew up with “fruit machines” and “pontoon” rather than “slots” and “blackjack”.

That said, times are a changing. There is a very handy tool here that helps you differentiate between UK and US searches:

    It’s an advanced OVT basically.

For the German speaking markets these are the most searched keywords:

    online casino
    online casinos
    casino
    casinos

“gambling” is not a common search term.

    Tipp:

target also kasino, online kasino, kasino, kasinos. This is actually the correct German spelling. These kw’s are not searched as much as the one with “C”, but are not as competitive and highly targeted as well.

Remember to target Switzerland (google.ch), Austria (google.at) and Germany (google.de).
